Hi
The attached screenshot shows what I get when I try to print a resource that contains Greek characters. I'm using Logos 4.2. Beta 2 and this is happening on both my test PC's (XP machines)...
Andy
Hmm...it works fine for me. Here's that page in Preview and it prints the same way for me:
I wonder if you're using the most up-to-date printer driver for your printer? I can't think of what else might be causing this.
I'm using Vista, but I doubt XP could be the difference that's causing this for you.

I will see if an updated driver is available when I get home. However, this is happening on 2 XP machines in 2 different locations connecting to two different printers... I will try my Vista PC over the weekend.
Maybe someone running XP could also try this, if only to eliminate XP from the likely causes...
I get the same results with my Vista PC :-(
So far I have tried it on 3 PC's and 3 different printers, all with identical results.
Aside from telling me that yours prints ok :-) can anyone suggest what might be wrong?
Prints and displays properly for me- I'm running Win 7 Ultimate, Samsubg CLP printer.

If it looks OK how does it print from Word?
It displays ok- but doesn't carry over the picture- other than that it prints fine as well.
Sorry. My mistake. That was aimed at Mr. Bell who is having problems. I should have quoted. I edited my post.
If you export to Word you see the same result on the screen of Microsoft Word? If it looks OK how does it print from Word?
It exports OK to Word and prints ok from Word - but, has has been pointed out, does not export (or print) the graphics and this resource has lots of them - sentence diagrams and Greek Crossword puzzles(!).
Then again, printing from Logos3 fails to include the graphics as well.
I have tried reinstalling Logos from scratch but this has no effect. I have several printer drivers on my PC, including PDF generators, and all experience corruption, some more than others.
Looks like I'm going to be reduced to using the Printscreen key :-(
If you click on the printer's properties, do you have a font substitution option in one of the tabs?

That's so bizarre. I think this case might be worth getting one of the Logos tech support people to help you out with. They can connect to your machine remotely and explore what might be different about your Logos installation that is causing this on all your machines and printers, with different versions of Windows. Would you be open to having them troubleshoot it for you? You'd need to call Logos and ask for Tech Support. Refer them to this thread for the background.
Yes - at least on the PDF printer driver. Currently Gentium is set to <Do not substitute>. I tried changing it but it made no difference at all.
One thing, in Logos 4 program settings I changed the Default Font from Default to Verdana and now the English prints ok. But none of the alternative Greek fonts make any appreciable difference.

Yes, but not tonight - it's already midnight here in the UK and I have a rather full day ahead of me... If I can't resolve it over the weekend I may well make a call on Monday...

Try "Do not substitute" for all.
You could also try "Print as Graphics"
I use SBL Greek as the Greek font in Logos.
If this does not work then either someone else is able to help you or better still you could follow Rosie's suggestion.
Try "Do not substitute" for all. You could also try "Print as Graphics"
Tried no substitution - no joy. Print as Graphics doesn't seem to be available for my drivers.
Here's what the greek looks like:
Maybe I should learn Chinese instead :-)

Oy! This is affecting more than just the Greek text, too. All of that first page except the phrase "With an accompanying workbook" was garbled (that phrase was how I was able to find the resource you were using), even though most of it is in English.
Have you been able to print from other resources that have Greek text in them? Maybe it's a problem with a corrupted resource file.
Actually it's Arabic script. What's your default Greek font?
Default font is Gentium. Actually, I realised it wasn't Chinese - my comment can be classed as 'British humour' - a gentle kind of self deprecating sarcasm :-)
Anyway, I now have a solution of sorts:
1) None of my PDF printer drivers work with Logos. One of them almost works but often 'forgets' to show Greek vowels!
2) On one of my PC - if I print direct to the printer it works ok as long as Logos is still running. If, as I often do, I keep the printer paused and print everything at the end of the session with all programs closed, I get the kind of garbage as shown in the screenshots.
I can replicate #2 consistently - print with Logos open - fine, print with Logos closed - garbage. Closing Logos down whilst the printing is occurring results in: good prints when Logos is open and bad prints the moment its closed. Weird.
I have never seen anything like this before - this is on my NC10 Netbook, Windows XP, 2GB RAM (max it can take) and 500GB hard disk with 80% of the disk space free. The printer is an HP C4400. None of my other programs exhibit this behavior.
Anyway, at least I can get good prints. I don't often print, but I find some resources are better printed than on screen.
I have all the Logos Keyboards, and have directed all my seminary colleagues to get them too!, but I've got a small nagging issue that's been
a tough nut for me to crack--this issue of final letters.
I keep trying to accomplish "final sigmas" but just can't seem to get there. Any suggestions?
Blessings,
JW

Wonder about wisdom of starting a new thread to discuss "final sigmas" instead of replying to a thread over two years old, which has problems printing all Greek letters ?
Logos offers Shibboleth for Windows => http://www.logos.com/shibboleth with blog article => http://blog.logos.com/2011/03/new_shibboleth_update/
Word 2010 has insert symbol that can be used for final sigma (unicode character 03C2).
By the way, Logos has a Libronix support page about unicode, fonts, and keyboards => http://www.logos.com/support/lbs/fonts
Keep Smiling [:)]
