New resources usually take a few extra days to make it to other platforms. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long.

I can't see any reason this shouldn't be showing up. I've reported it to the mobile team.

What's the benefit of this resource? What makes so many people like this resource? I'm just curious

Hi Keith,

I just received this resource with my L8 Standard Silver update. Here is a screenshot with Rom 2.6. As you can see if I have Cited By linked with Bullinger Figures of Speech I can go from the Bible to the Companion Bible and read the article in Figures of Speech. The Companion Bible references figures of speech, but does not link to it. That would be a nice addition.

Also, the reference linked to the Bible is very brief with most of the meat being linked to the appendix. It keeps it clean, but you can dig further on those items that you have more interest in.

Someone that has used this resource in print may be able to give you a better review, but here is a start to hopefully peak your interest.

Hi Keith, The Companion Bible is truly a Study Bible pointing out philological aspects of the text along with identifying figures of speech and showing the structures in Scripture. Today these structures are known as chiastic structures but Bullinger was way ahead of his time in demonstrating them. He also included almost 200 appendices covering word studies, chronology, and other miscellaneous theological discussions referenced in his notes. The whole work is scholarly.  Bullinger was a true Fundamentalist and a Dispensationalist but he had a number of eccentric positions which drew criticism. The excellency of this Bible is that Bullinger does not try to indoctrinate you into his position with his notes like almost every other Study Bible. Doctrinal notes are sparse! Some people may not like it for a lack of such notes and it may take some getting use to working with it. It is one tool that you will want to use but not the only one you should use. Bullinger also wrote a fat boring book on figures of speech that is still the standard after a hundred years as well as a lexicon/concordance that is useful too. These were all designed to be useful study helps and they really are close to being the least biased available.

Great ideas. Also, it should be linked with his lexicon as well.

I have used the Companion Bible for many years (since about 1962).

I have linked all the Figure of Speech categories to all the Bible verses where they are found in my book, The New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge, a resource available in Logos.
