I've spotted a bug in the columns selection menu, using Logos Bible Software 4.2a SR-1 (4.21.5.0790) on Mac.

It is very minor (admittedly), but ... still worth reporting.

SUMMARY

Columns selection menu is not updated correctly when switching between window and reading views.

HOW TO REPRODUCE

1. Open NIV in window mode. Select 2 columns display.

2. Switch to Reading View. Notice that the selection from window mode is displayed (2 columns) whatever your selection for Reading View mode was previously. Select 3 columns display.

3. Switch back to window mode. Look into the columns selection menu, 3 columns is highlighted instead of 2 columns.

-> BUG: The menu selection is not refreshed properly when switching between window and fullscreen mode.

-> HINT: The menu is properly refreshed when switching to another resource tab and back.

Thank you for your report. I can reproduce this in the Mac version. When it opens in Reading View it should change to Auto mode by default, and if you change it  to 3 columns or leave it at Auto, when you toggle Reading view off, the docked panel should show 2 columns again.  I'll submit the report to development.

The column setting for Reading View should also be remembered the next time you enter Reading View for that resource.

As I understand your bug above, the bug below is a bit different but I include it for correction at the same time. When the lower windows pop the menu open for a resource, with width is incorrect thereby overlaying the right key-code over the columnar choices. This doesn't happen for the upper-windowsimage.

Oops ... sorry .. the menuing width problem is on the PC side of the house.

    Hi Denise,

I'm not able to reproduce this. Can you provide a few more details about your layout or a screenshot of the full Logos 4 screen?

Columns selection menu is not updated correctly when switching between window and reading views.

This bug should be fixed in 4.5.  4.5 Beta 1 should be available for testing on the beta channel sometime in the next couple of weeks: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/34221.aspx
