Automatic Hyperlinking of Scripture in Notes

I use Logos 4 on both a Mac and PC. I generally use a smaller Mac Airbook while in church to take notes, etc. When I do, any scripture I put in the notes doess not automatically hyperlink. I later open it at home on the PC and go to each scripture reference, delete the space behind the verse name/number, then re-enter the space. As soon as I do, the hyperlink appears.

In my tests, this automatic feature works fine on the PC, but not on the Mac. Is this a bug or something I am doing wrong?

Thanks you in advance for any help.

That feature—and many others in Notes—is not yet implemented in L4 Mac. It's coming, but I cannot tell you when it will arrive.

That hyperlink should be active in L4 Mac after synch.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply, I appreciate it and the fantantic software. I can keep doing it the way I am now until that feature gets implemented.

That is my practice. Anytime I plan to use notes extensively—or even—moderately, I fire up Parallels and use L4 Win. Hopefully, this procedure will not cause my great-grandchildren to have nightmares that Papa has lost his mind. [8-|]

What Note features are not yet implemented in Logos 4 Mac ? would appreciate a list for Wiki page => http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4_Mac

I really wish I could turn it off on my PC.  I never want the version it links to.  I generally use either the NA27, BHS 4.2 or, in English, NRSV, and I have a reason for using either the original language or the English so automatic linking simply doesn't work.

Wonder about prioritizing library: NA27, BHS 4.2, NRSV ? (default to original languages for hyperlinks)

I see your point - I would be satisfied with just being able to specify the version in the citation - all citations.

1 When creating a new note from a resource, the Note File does not scroll to the correct location.

2 Clicking on the note icon in a resource opens the correct Note File but does not scroll to that location.

3 Hovering over a hyperlink to a resource (Carson in the screenshot below) does not yield a popup, but it does open the resource and scroll to the proper location

4 Notes have some severe display issues which i have reported in other threads in the Mac Beta forum.

5 Typing a Scripture reference in a note does not generate a hyperlink (already noted in this thread)

There may be others, but they do not come to mind at the moment.

    6) No compact view.

    7) No way to sort in canonical order.

    8) Excruciatingly slow scrolling.

    9) Arrow keys don't work.

(There was also 10) No way to turn a note file on or off in more than one resource at a time, but this actually seems to have been fixed in the last update! As far as I can remember the first time in half a year they've actually released anything at all about note parity. Not necessarily the most important thing to do first, though.)

I'm sure there are a few more things as well that I can't remember right now.

And there are several issues with Collections that also aren't listed on that Wiki link. The ones that come to mind immediately are:

    1) No size control.

    2) No memory of what columns should show up.

    3) No memory of column width.

    4) No memory of column order.

    5) Added columns tend to show up in weird places.

    6) Adding or removing a tab in the Library doesn't change an open collection; you have to switch to another collection and then back again before you can see the change.

    7) Arrow keys don't work here either.

(Don't know if the last three are parity issues, or if they affect PC as well, but they are definitely annoying.)
