How often do you find typos when you are reading.  It seems I am finding more and more, but maybe I'm just reading more closely or reading more obscure Logos books.

In my case it really does depend upon the book - it's just too varied for me to see a pattern in my own reading.

Fairly often, but then again I go searching for them on purpose! Wink

I also find typos in the subject lines of forum threads from time to time. Misused apostrophe's for example. Smile

Contrary to my joke in the previous post, I do find many typos including many in Hebrew.  I don't even attempt to find them; they just slap me in the face.

I don't believe the Report Typo feature is available when you are reading offline. Am I mistaken? I've passed by many typos without reporting them as a result. It would be nice to have the ability to note the typos when offline and have them upload once you get back online.

Yes, that would be nice! I keep a "Typos to Report" notes file. What I do when I'm offline is select the typo, right click, Add Note to "Typos to Report" and then type in the corrected text. Then later when I'm back online I go through my "Typos to Report" file and report any pending ones and delete them from the notes file. It's not as slick as having Logos let me use the "Report Typo" command even when offline, and automatically queue them up for sending in next time I'm online. But it's OK as a stopgap for now. An offline typo reporting feature has been requested already.

Another nice feature would be a way to cancel a typo. Just a couple of times, I've realized that I misunderstood something. If the typo is assigned a number, perhaps we could cancel it?

That's happened to me once or twice, too. Don't worry. I'm sure they won't fix it if you were wrong about it. I'm sure it's a human being who processes all of these, and hopefully it's someone who is on the ball, not an automaton.

I still have a ways to go before I'll be satisfied that I truly know the language.  I mainly deal with theology, but I use Hebrew in the process.  That's the other way around from first learning the language well.

Good idea Rosie.

I found a TON of them in Word Biblical Commentary Vol 19 (Psalm). The typo is the links in the text. Most of what I have found is the text will read "v 7" and the pop up bible verse will read verse 6, while the reference at the bottom right of the pop states verse 7. I don't know if it is throughout the entire book or just the chapter I am looking at for Psalm 42 - 43. It's only out 1 verse in all the ones I've seen, but it does cause me to do a double take in my study.

I think I know what the problem is, and it's not in the WBC.  I'll bet you are looking at the English translation rather than the Hebrew.  The numbering differs.

George is right, this is one of the real strengths of Logos 4, it handles different versification schemes with ease. You can see when it is happening in the popup when it identifies the versemap as be from the BHS
