I ordered the HALOT and got two books.  One is the CD-ROM version, while the other is Volume 5.  Are these two books one and the same?  If I priortize them only the CD-ROM version comes up in the search.  Is that how it should work?  I need some help from you experts on the forum.  Thanks in advance.

I believe Volumes 1-4 are Hebrew, and Volume 5 is Aramaic. So 1-4 is HLOT and 5 is ALOT = HALOT. [:)]

Since I'm not at home, I can't verify that this is true, but you probably can if you open up both HALOT resources.

Yes ... the above answer is correct .... if you click on the info panel and read the copy, it notes volume 5 is aramaic.

As an added comment, vol 5 is indexed for the aramaic (headwords) while the CD-ROM is by the hebrew. That might sound intuitive until you start thinking about all the  ins/outs of L4. I updated the wiki: http://wiki.logos.com/Resource$3a_HALOT_(Hebrew_and_Aramaic_Lexicon_of_the_Old_Testament)
