I have both apps on my Android and I cannot tell any difference between the two. What is the advantage of one over the other? Or are the basically the same just during the Beta release?

The distinction will become clear as development continues: Logos for Android will have many more features for searching and other language tools. You can see all of the planned features for the Logos app here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/34373.aspx

Vyrso, on the other hand is intended to remain primarily an eBook reader.

The obvious follow up question is about content...

From the original announcement Vyrso is designed to support books that are not typically associated with Logos i.e. Christian fiction. Will these all be in Logos format and therefore readable by the Logos application or will there be a new format for these resources that only Vyrso can read?

Any book that is readable in Vyrso (and is therefore in your library) can be read in the other Logos readers, including the Logos Android, iOS and Desktop applications.
