Rev. Nannette La Fosse:
Reina Valera version 1909

I'm pretty sure I could make a PBB version of this quite easily. Can anyone point me to a list of Spanish Bible book names, and let me know the Spanish for 'Chapter xxx'?

Ben:
NT Wright's New Kingdom Translation of the New Testament. It's not out yet, but I'd buy it.

It's available in print in the UK, under a different title: http://www.spckpublishing.co.uk/shop/the-new-testament-for-everyone/

I actually made a PBB of this when I was testing my processes, but never bothered posting it!

Brad Fry:
I'd like to see William Tyndale's translation.

That's available as a Personal Book, for free: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/37523.aspx

NETS "New English Translation of the Septuagint"

Goes fantastic with LXX or even as a OT read. Quite surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet!

OK, here's a few Bibles for you to compile as personal books:

All book names are in English at the moment, due solely to my linguistic incompetence.

Thanks for the Spanish book names. There's now an updated 1909 Reina-Valera Bible here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/38086.aspx

Bibles we need in Logos:
The Holy Bible translated from the Latin Vulgate [Also known as the Douay Rheims] Original from 1585 / 1609 transliterated into modern English with the comments of 1585 / 1609 NOT the Challoner 1752 reversion [already in Logos]   The comments were written by a master of the Catholic faith.

For the Catholic user: This is the original official English translation.   Renew your faith by reading this version.

For the Protestant user:  What does the Catholic Church really teach?  Can you find where his arguments go wrong?

[Yes I am playing both sides of the street – the author of the comments is really good.]

As I  said many times already, it would be great to have Bibles in Logos in all major languages. I would suggest the following Bibles:

Czech language:

Ekumenická Bible 2001 edition, Jeruzalémská Bible

Polish language:

Biblia Gdańska (is available as PBB-ready docx file here), Biblia Warszawska, Biblia Tysiąclecia, Biblia Poznańska

Slovak language:

Biblia - slovenský ekumenický preklad, Sväté Písmo - spolok sv. Vojtecha, Biblia - Roháčkov preklad

OK, that's enough for now Smile

Bohuslav
