Pages can't find Greek and Hebrew fonts

I get a caution that the fonts are not installed - but it sure looks like LBS is using them. How do I get Pages to recognize them?

Have you checked your font library to see if they are installed?

The Logos specific fonts are buried in the Logos 4 Mac application, they are not installed on the Mac as system fonts and therefore cannot be seen in the Font Book application.
If you choose show contents command on Logos app fonts are in Logos Bible Software 4 >> Contents >> Resources >> Fonts
Theoretically there should be no reason why font file could not copied into the system fonts folder and installed in the Mac.

I can verify that this method works! Thanks for the suggestion. [:)]

I just tried to follow that by typing "show contents" in the command bar. I don't think that's what you meant. I'm really a PC user trying to transition to the MAC world. Would you describe how to do this in a bit more detail? Thanks.

1) Go to your applications folder on your mac
2) Find your Logos 4 application icon
3) Control click the icon
4) click "show package contents"
5) double click on contents
6) double click on resources
7) double click on fonts.
IMPORTANT: Don't move these fonts. you can control-click on them and use the "open with" to open them and install into font book.
Let us know if this works for you [:)]

That worked, they are installed and available. I would never have figured how to do that on my own, thanks so much!

Welcome to the Mac world! Mac OS X has a different (better) setup than Windows with regards to applications and application management. When you look at at an application (icon) in the Mac applications folder what it actually is is a special type of folder — an application package. The (application) folder has a number of sub folders in standard setup, things like "Resources". No Windows "DLL hell" on the Mac!
You can bring up a context menu on any object in OS X (file, folder, application) by either control clicking or right clicking if you have setup your mouse in System Preferences so that 'secondary click' is assigned to right mouse click.
Feel free to browse around an application's package naturally you need to be very careful not to change/move/delete any files or likely the application will stop working [:)]

Wiki Logos 4 Mac => Mini FAQ includes:
New to Mac OS X?
Apple has Mac OS X Applications and Utilities plus hundreds of How-To Tutorials. Apple Support includes Mac 101, Switch 101 and Keyboard shortcuts. For OS X Lion, Apple Support includes Recovery (with how to install on a new drive)

Observation: after using Mac and Windows for many years, have learned on Mac to try easy way to do something (e.g. to uninstall application, move to trash) while Windows often adds more step(s) to accomplish same task (e.g. to uninstall Windows application, first find appropriate control panel, which may need to be followed by running software removal tool to complete uninstall). Note: Mac may also need cleanup of Library preference files (depends on application; Logos 4 Mac has few more files to delete for complete uninstall).
Apologies: personally like menus opening down and right. In 1984, Apple had their logo in upper left corner with menu opening down => http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_menu Microsoft choose lower left corner for Windows Start (residual follow-up after Apple sued Microsoft about look and feel issues). Thankful for Microsoft option to move Windows task bar to left side of screen (and hide) so Start menu opens down and right. In Mac OS X, personally move dock to left side (with Logos 4 Mac next to Finder: 2nd icon from top of dock).
Wiki => http://wiki.logos.com/Read_Aloud shows one Windows Control Panel change from Vista to Windows 7, added a step when want to change Read Aloud voice for use in Logos 4. Apologies (more bias): personally like Apple's System Preferences vis Windows Control Panel since Apple is easier to navigate and use.
Once installed, Windows is sensitive to partition number changing (have experienced Windows refusing to boot because hard drive partition number was different). In contrast, can easily clone Mac bootable partitions, which can be used with different Mac computers (e.g. have used an external drive with one of my Logos 4 Mac installations on 3 different iMac models). During boot process, Mac OS X checks if option key being pressed, if so, all storage devices (internal and external) are scanned for bootable partitions, then a menu is presented (can choose which partition to boot).
Keep Smiling [:)]

OS X — Good
Windows — Bad (and about to get worse with Windows 8 Desktop)
That's all that needs to be said.

Thank you for the information on fonts Gentlemen! To find helpful information like that is why I patrol the Community Forum at least once a week.
I am convert to Mac after decades of Windows and to borrow a line from the old hymn, "No turning back, no turning back."
