I'm a Wordsearch user for years and wanted to give Logos a try a few months back on my Mac.  It took my a while to get used to it - even the basics of figuring how to open Bible translations.  So...

is there something I'm missing in trying to read some Scripture in alpha 2?  The only way I can find was to click GO - LIBRARY - and search out the Bible I wanted.  I dragged and dropped into NIV into Passage Guide into Logos, but I can't search for a particular passage by typing it in (contrasted to 1.2.2)?  Am I missing something?  I know this is a beta but I thought actually being able to look up a Bible passage was foundational.

The only other resource I can see under "Passage Guide" is MEDIA RESOURCES.

Is my software running like everybody else or do I have a glitch that is different?  (I usually do Surprise ).

Thanks for your help.

Hey Jackie, I just downloaded it too and I'm experiencing the same exact things you just described. So no your not alone on this.

It's not even a beta yet, it's an alpha, which means about the only foundational things are bugs and crashes. :)

Hi Jackie, since this is an Alpha, many of the features are not yet developed.

THE GOOD NEWS

The mac Alpha shares the EXACT SAME code base as the L4 for windows.  This means that every feature in L4 is actually in the Alpha right now. What we are waiting for is the developers to add the interface so we can use the features.

If you want to help Alpha test, here is the proper forum http://community.logos.com/forums/75.aspx
