Hi all;
I know it is an Alpha version but I should be able to at least install it and run it, right?
- Downloaded the DMG file
- Took the Logos 4 icon into the Apps folder
- Opened it and asked me for my username and password
- Get a small screen stuck in "Logging in"
- Need to "Force Quit"
Please help out... please.

Not necessarily. The inability to install is an expected result in Alpha. Did it install enough to get any log files? If so, can you attach them?

I have a Pre-Release Alpha 2, if that helps.
No no logging available since it hasnt enven isntalled the application.
So sad and frustrating.
did you check and confirm the directories were not created? Even thought it did not install, it does not mean the log files are not there. Check just to be sure.
If you don't have your logs, then post your system specs like OS version and hardware.
Ditto. . .I have the same message 'logging on" It will finally freeze at which time I have to do a Force Quit.
Using an iMac 24 that is 18 months old. I've re-downloaded and installed but continue to get the same results. Any help would be appreciated or do we simply wait a few weeks until some of the bugs are worked out.

I feel the pain brother.. Mine finally finished after many days of computer processing. I noticed, for me, it worked best when I left it running during the day when I worked. I slowed down some stuff, but it indexed a lot faster.
I think the programmers need to work on getting L4 to index when the computer is at rest.
