BUG: Sentence Diagramming Tool
OS 10.5.8 L4 Mac 4.5 Beta 5
BUG 1: Text copied from a Logos resource and pasted into an SD text box does not include bibliographical data. If first posted into a note, then copied and pasted into said text box, the data is included.
BUG 2: Attempted to move a block of text near the bottom of the SD window, the text disappeared. In moving text around it would appear and disappear. Upon releasing the mouse, the text was gone from the diagram. Experienced the same thing with diagram elements.
So far, Sentence Diagramming in L4 Mac has been a promising feature that is poorly executed.
PLEASE FIX SOME OF THE BUGS PRIOR TO ADDING ANOTHER FEATURE. It is horribly irritating to have features that almost work.

I feel your pain, Jack... oh, do I feel your pain. Been waiting for exactly 11 MONTHS now (to the day) to have the Newly applied highlighting takes up to 10-15 seconds to appear, 100% CPU bug fixed, among others. At least it might be fixed in the next beta.

The bibliographic citation will be included in a future release.

When you move a block of text off the screen to the right, a horizontal scroll bar should have appeared that allows you to then scroll to the right to see the text (or you can also expand the width of the panel). When you move it off the screen at the bottom, a vertical scroll bar should appear so you can scroll down to see the text. If that is not what you are seeing, please include a video of the behavior you're seeing.

What other problems are you seeing?

The text disappears as if I had hit the Delete key. It is not just off screen; it has been removed from the diagram.

Earlier, it was the text insertion bug. Thank you, developers, for fixing this one. The disappearing text is enough to make the feature unusable.

Thank you.
WHAT HAPPENED? Just attempted to recreate the problem to provide further information, and the text moves as expected. Last evening, I had closed L4 Mac and opened the diagram in L4 Win to place the offending text block. Closed Windows and returned to the Mac this morning. I closed the diagram window without trying anything because I was following the information in another thread. Upon reading your post, opened the diagram and attempted to move the text. No matter what I do, the text will not go away (unless I click the delete key).
Everything is now working as it should. Forgive my irritability and hyperbole—I'm older than George, so I can be grumpy. [8-|]

I don't think you need apologize for your inability to reproduce bugs. That's part of the issue with Logos 4 - bugs that only affect some people and that Logos often cannot reproduce.

You did not read my post very well. I did not apologize for being unable to reproduce bugs

Reporting bugs is one thing. Being irritable is quite a different thing.

The parity issue regarding citations being included when copying from a resource should be fixed in 4.6a Beta 1.
