BUG or ? re: slider on Note file
I started a new note file with one long note in it (commentary recommendations by Parableman).Every time I try to scroll up or down using the slider, the note closes into compact form. It happens consistently no matter how careful I am with pointer location on the slider.

I've just experienced this as well - it is very annoying! This is in 4.5B7
One can still scroll within the note but the slider really needs to work.

I am running win7 as well. That is odd that I cannot reproduce the behavior. Does it happen every time with all new notes created in Beta 7?

Yes, it does seem to appear all the time. I have created two new, large notes this morning and the same behaviour is present in each.
However, it seems to depend on how the note is opened - the relationship between "Compact" and "Full".
If I have a note in Compact mode and click on the note, the note opens and the text is displayed. But it still seems to be in compact node - the word "Compact" is black and "Full" is in blue. In this case, clicking on the slider causes the note to compress.
If, however, I open the note by clicking on "Full", then the slider works fine.
- Fred - can you replicate this behaviour with this additional information?
- MJ - does this match what you are seeing?

Fred - can you replicate this behaviour with this additional information?Yes, now I see what you are talking about. Based on Melissa's post they are aware of it and I'm sure will get it fixed. I don't work in compact mode often, but I can see where that could get very frustrating.

Thanks Fred and Graham for sorting out the details. I'm running XP and since I was trying to do actual work I didn't notice that the problem was a bit narrower than I thought.
