Hey guys,

I know Bob already answered this, but I can't seem to find where he answered it, and search isn't helping. What is Logos 4 built on?The reason I'm asking is at WeatherBug we're in the same boat with WeatherBug 6 tied to IE, and I'm trying to push for a rewrite in WeatherBug 7, something cross-platform. Logos did a great job with the way Logos 4 is built, so I'm interested in the Core Technology backends so we can pull off something similar for WeatherBug 7, which I'm hoping is next year.

And yes, we might need secret beta testers. Big Smile I'll be once since I'm on the dev team.

Thanks!

Exactly what I needed! Thanks! I'll show this to my CTO. I'd like to use something similar for WeatherBug 7.

Hee hee! We use NING to power the new WeatherBug Backyard Blog, as well my corp blog. It's excellent. Blogs, Forums, Wiki Notes, Groups, the works, all one one customizable interface. If Logos wants to roll out and excellent community platform, this would be ideal!

Sure am! Not to veer off topic too much guys, but I do work with WeatherBug in addition to my company. I personally know the CTO, and I also work on development for a LOT of WeatherBug services. From the expensive pro end tools like Streamer to the iPhone app, I do a lot of it. I'm also the admin and overseer for the new Backyard Blog. Now I don't do much coding. I kind of do more what Eli did for Logos 4. I'm the designer and architect. I tell the CTO what I'd like to see done in various WeatherBug services, he discusses it all with me, he then passes it on and it gets implemented. It's really fun. I also love managing the Backyard Blog. I handle it all from approving members to adding/building the site to troubleshooting requests.

If you want to take this discussion further and off here, join me at backyard.weatherbug.com. It's a great way to jump into WeatherBug more.

OK, we now resume our discussion on Bible study. Smile
