I really liked having my Logos v.3 to where I could make my passage guide and the collections that I have made, and have that passage guide be the default. But in v.4 when I bring up the home page and type in a verse it goes to the generic passage guide. So I am forced every time that I open up the software, to go to the guide menu and pick my guide, I think there has to be a way to get around that step EVERY time. How do I make my guide the default?

SECONDLY

I made 4 collections. I have put them in my customized passage guide. Piper, Sproul, Calvin, and Church Fathers.

I was all happy with it and did a passage and the results came back great.....

However, when I did another verse, my collections were not NAMED. All the titles said were "Collections" When I went to the right side of the bar where the settings are, and clicked it, THEN the name came back up for each of them.

But then when I would change the verse for another study, or when I turned it off and then came back and turned the software back on again and went to my customized passage, there they are again my list of collections, without the "names" on the title bar, just the title "collections" ... This is annoying.

Help!

This was reported as a bug during the beta program. It is annoying and I hope they fix it soon :-)

Ron Christensen:
Semper Reformata

I'm no Latin scholar, but shouldn't that be Semper Reformanda or the full quote Ecclesia Reformata, Semper Reformanda?

Have you found the information that mentions saving your customized "Piper, Sproul, Calvin, and Church Fathers." etc  Passage guide as the "My Passage Guide"?

Supposedly, if done correctly this will then be the one that loads.I'm sure there is a lot more to it than that but i'm sure you can have what you desire...

there has also been discussion about starting from a customized passage guide versus the one on the home page

Steve

Thanks Steve,

Yes I went exactly by the prescribed  procedure. It loads the collections, but doesn't label them. Thanks for the info on the customized/homepage discussion.

I have the same problem with my five custom collections in passage guide. When you click settings on the right side of the title bar the name shows up, but it does not last from one session to the other.
