My desktop computer is a tower running Windows 7. My carry with me computer is a MacBook Air. I have Logos 4.5 on both platforms.
On the Windows version, there is an adjustment for Program Scaling and another for scaling in the Font area. If I set the FONT scale to, say, 140%, some books honor that but many (most?) do not. For example, the NASB95 bible honors it, the ESV does not.
If I set PROGRAM SCALING, then everything is zoomed up for my old eyes.
However, when I load it on the Mac, everything is small again. There is no option the for Program Scaling. However, if I adjust the Font scale to 140% on the Mac, then ALL books scale (including ones that don't honor it on the PC, like the ESV bible).
Returning to the PC, Program Scaling is still 140% but now Font scaling is ALSO 140% coming from the Mac. Logos appears in two-inch high letters.
So, each time I move between platforms I have to go in to Program Settings and tweak things. As I am back and forth many times a day, this makes me a sad panda.
Two questions. 1) Why do some resources on the PC version ignore Font scaling? 2) Is there any plan to make these two programs work the same way, so we older users can have our Large Print edition?
Thanks for any answers!
