Extend Minimum Community Pricing Closure Time to at Least 1 Week

Simple request. Please can you extend the minimum time that it takes to close community pricing bidding to at least one week?
As I understand it, the bidding always closes at noon on Friday (or soon thereafter), and any product that reaches 100% (or otherwise triggers bids to close) before the preceding Wednesday enters the closing bidding phase. This means a minimum of two days for final bids, though it can be up to eight or nine days if 100% is reached just after the Wednesday cut-off.
When there is a longer time period, the number of Community Pricing bids tend to increase greatly, bringing the final product price down. However, this happens a lot less when there is a short closing window. I'd like to ask that the minimum time is set at one week (or even nine days, adding one week to the current minimum). This should allow more people to get on board at the end, increase the availability of resources and cut the price for many users, keeping customers happy.
It seems a simple but effective change. If it's not accepted, please can you give us an idea of why not? Otherwise, it would be good to see this implemented sooner, rather than later, especially with all those older commentary sets about to enter the final phases of bidding.
Many thanks.

I agree. If I remember correctly, Bob implied that they make more money when the price is lower. He stated on twitter or the blog or something else that the demand for an item that was part of the community pricing program more than double when the price of the product went enough people brought down the price by half.
If the price went down by half and the demand for the product double, then the overall amount of funds going to Logos would be the same. Because the demand for the product went up by "more than double", the more part is plain profit for Logos.

I agree. Sometimes I may not get to my computer before the price change closes (I have a poor signal connection & sometimes it can take a while before I can connect).

What also would be nice is that when an item crosses 80 or 90% increments can by by $5 dollars and when they pass 100% they can go down by $1 (not sure how that would completely work since some already have $5 increments but for those I guess they could go down to $1 at 80/90 or just when it reaches 100.

David, you might want to add your name to the "Please reduce the Increments..." posting at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/46063.aspx. If enough of us show interest, then maybe, just maybe...

You might want to add a uservoice entry for this (if one hasn't been added already). You can do this at logos.uservoice.com

Thanks for noting it here, Bradley.
The two suggestions I made are now up to 13 votes each, and as these votes are separate to general Logos votes, we can add three votes for most of the options there: https://communitypricing.uservoice.com/forums/183260-general. (Note there is currently a duplicate entry that will soon be deleted.)
