BillS:How do you bring over just one note?
Move all notes except the one you wish to incorporate in L4 onto some other medum (such as a flash drive). Prepare that one note then import it into L4.

You & Tom are right, George... sometimes the obvious escapes me. LOL

Bob Pritchett: Rosie Perera: Open to a designated layout (not merely last layout you closed with) (see here) I think we can add this. Need to figure out where -- presently "Customize" on the Home Page controls if we open to the Home Page or not, but doesn't seem like where you'd put this setting. But putting it somewhere else would put "what happens at startup" in two places.

wondering about moving this whole setting under Program Settings and calling the new section something like Logos4 Startup with options for layouts and options for Home page

For those of us who never use the home page, access to all settings in Settings is much more intuitive rather than some in settings, some on home page.

“Customize” – Located at the bottom left of the ‘Home Page’ have no bearing on the other settings listed under “Program Settings”.
I have played with these extensively to see if they did and they do not, these settings appear to only affect the Home Page. But I could be wrong…..Anyone have some pics?
Room4more:But I could be wrong
No, you are not wrong.
Logos owner Bob was "musing" about a possible location to add a choice related to saving/loading "Current Layout" etc. [probably because there is a button within "Customize" to cancel/preclude "Home Page" from opening at start-up].
Presently "Customize" operates as you assume--to control Home Pagecontent.

There's one "setting" that appears ONLY on the home page: favorite bible... to me, that's a counter-intuitive location, given that I ALWAYS open to either a layout or a blank screen...

I came across something else in another thread:
In Logos 3 it was possible to automatically apply colour to imported text in a sentence diagram. Can't do this in Logos 4:

Personally I am pleased tha L3.0g Sentence Diagrams imported into L4 DO retain their colour.
Here's a sample from one of the diagrams Terry Cook shared with us here on the forums...

Oh good, so that means it's already implemented internally and it's just a matter of adding the UI back in for people to be able to apply these colors in L4. Personally, I don't use sentence diagramming, but I only posted that shortcoming in this thread in the interest of completeness, as I thought we were trying to come up with a catalog of all the features they have left to implement if they were going to try to do so, which I know they're not, but it's still an interesting exercise to list them all.
Rosie Perera:it's still an interesting exercise to list them all.
Yes it is.
So, I used handouts for the first time for my upcoming Men's Ministry breakfast. I like how it worked. Now, I understand that it is a bit kludgey. On that note, how about a design of a template for Microsoft Word or some other application? Also, Testing and response is slow and I think a faster responding tool would be a lot more inviting. I think it has potential, but a tool that can quickly be generated from notes, outlines, etc. would be really nice. I hope you keep and expand it.

I miss the ability to do a graphical search query on any Bible, not just syntactically tagged Greek/Hebrew Bibles.
Not much-mine is no longer working! I told the representative that several features are missing but he assured me all that are on the Libronix 3.0 is now on the Logos 4, but I maintained that that assumption is in error. Now you have proved it, thank you very much.
Now, being right is one thing, but having a solution is quite another thing altogether. So, what now? Hundreds and hundreds of dollars are now gone! They should fix these things-have you made them aware of your list? I am just saying.
Ok, Dr Bobby. You're going to have to be a teensy bit more specific.
It's true I get compensated as a cheerleader for Libronix (the right to buy more Libronix books!!). Took me maybe 7 years competing but I worked hard.
But Logos5 sure has some power.
You must need something very specific.

Peace to you, and welcome to these Logos Forums. The forum says this is your first post; but I seem to remember you from the past, perhaps the old Logos news groups?
I have been so pleased with Libronix and Logos over the many years I've been using Logos Bible Study Software. I started in 1993, I believe, which is coming up 20 years! How wonderful it has been, culminating in Logos 3.0g. (Which I have installed and have working well on this computer i7 - Windows 8! *smile* )
Harry mentioned in the post above yours about the one item, actually an item which I never really used that is not yet in the successors to Logos 3.0g. He said, " miss the ability to do a graphical search query on any Bible, not just syntactically tagged Greek/Hebrew Bibles."
However, other than this, as far as I am concerned, everything else is there! Some aspects of notes I don't like as well. ... some aspects of notes I like better! Same with a few other things. In my late 70's I realise that "life goes on"! *smile*
A workable Logos 3.0g sits on this very computer; however, basically unused. Right now I don't need the disk space; although when I do need the space (with tears in my eyes, possibly!) I will uninstall. Actually I have over 7,000 Logos Resources including Language studies. I open up 3.0g now and again; but usually "just for fun" and for "the wonderful memories"!
Logos 3.0g has been wonderful! I will always truly treasure my many years with 1.6, 2, 3 and so on; However, indeed, Logos 4 is a whole new world -- now I am into Logos 5 and it's fast and incredible. I could never go back.
I know that we often read the posts of a few saying that Logos 4 and Logos 5 are not nearly as good or productive or friendly or whatever ......
I hear them; however, I do not understand them. Nor do I understand you when you say, "Hundreds and hundreds of dollars are now gone!" My friend, Logos has promised that you will never lose the use of a resource purchased through them, at least that's how I understand it. Many Logos users on these forums who bought Logos resources through 3rd party vendors have also discover Logos supports their old purchases.
You can access your resources free in Logos 4 right now .......... And very, very soon in Logos 5. We will help you plug in! (Assuming that you have an adequate computer and access to the internet!) (The world is indeed changing, eh??? *smile*
If you want some of the newer stuff that Logos 5 can accomplish, of course there is a charge for that (an upgrade required!); but you are required by no one to own those special extra features.
