Thanks, I hadn't seen this. Hermeneia is one of my favorite commentary sets. Almost $50 per volume is a bit steep, though.
Hapax Legomena: Almost $50 per volume is a bit steep, though.
This is one pricey Pre-Pub special

If you think $50 per volume is a bit steep, wait till you see the price of Hossfeld & Zenger in German.....

The problem is not so much the price; the problem is being forced to buy the Enoch volume in order to obtain the Psalms volume.

I'm more interested in the Enoch volume.

I'll pass $50 each- forget it.

Of course. Instead, you can create two more user accounts at Logos.com and place two more $50 bids on the Classic Revelation set.

I'm more interested in the Enoch volume. David I know. Who is Enoch? (Actually I referenced it yesterday to see if there was a correlation in job descriptions with Enoch's seven angels and those in Revelation. There wasn't.)
There is considerable correspondence between Enoch and Revelation—you simply need to look and think.

Maybe to see the connection, you need an Apocalyptic Imagination? http://www.logos.com/product/17173/the-apocalyptic-imagination

No. What is needed is a knowledge of the OT and apocalyptic literature with an ability to understand symbolism.
Actually a computer with no knowledge of greek can easily match up the vision chapters in Revelations with Enoch to such a degree as to be able to reproduce one by using patterns in the other.
After that sneaky Rick rolled out his pre-pub for NT apocrypha (and I bit), now there's the Enoch similitudes. Being stubborn is difficult.
Does anyone know anything about the existence of a corresponding volume 1 to the second and third volumes of Psalms by Hossfeld and Zenger? I know there's a dinky volume by the same authors (in German), but it's another thing.
My understanding is that Hossfeld and Zenger's Hermeneia Commentary on Psalms 1-50 has yet to be completed.
