Is there a way that you can find notes on the ipad2 once you highlight a text or a book. Can't seem to remember all the notes I use on the ipad2  hope this makes since?   thank you again!

Sorry, but I can't think of any way of doing this at the moment.

They are searchable when synchronised to your laptop / desktop environment (assuming you have one)

It would be nice if there were a "search my content" option as there is on the desktop

On the iPad itself, the only way to view a note is from within the resource the note is tied to. That is to say, you can click on a note indicator and the note will pop up, or you can edit a highlight and view any typed notes there. 

Another way to view a note is from within the desktop app, by opening up the note file you saved the note in. If you don't know where that is, let me know and I will walk you through it.
