I recently changed computers and installed Logos on the new computer. I had several personal books that I had compiled on my previous Logos install. Upon installing Logos, I tried to go in and rebuild the books so the new install of Logos would have access to them. Each book fails to build with the exact same error (shown below):
[Info] Starting build for PBB:acd0b7c84a08403a8d0dfd7f2157e82c[Info] Converting[Info] Converting /Users/sh136/Documents/bayesian-miracles/Bayesian Miracles.docx[Info] Compiling[Error] Error while building book: Error compiling resource.[Error] Exception: LDLS4.Panels.PersonalBookBuilderPanel.PersonalBookBuilderException: Error compiling resource. at Libronix.Utility.Threading.AsyncWorkItem.Verify () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at LDLS4.Panels.PersonalBookBuilderPanel.PersonalBookViewModel+<CreatePersonalBookWork>c__Iterator39.MoveNext () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
Any ideas on what is going on?
I should also mention that my previous install was on Snow Leopard and this one is on Lion.
Thanks.
-Steven
Hi Steven
Does "/Users/sh136/Documents/bayesian-miracles/Bayesian Miracles.docx" exist on your new computer?
The metadata describing file location would be preserved and present in your new installation but if that pathname doesn't work you wouldn't be able to compile it.
You could try deleting the file from within the PB tool and then adding it again.
Hope this helps
Graham
osx being a neighbour of unix , is the space in filename the issue?
Never Deprive Anyone of Hope.. It Might Be ALL They Have
Sorry I didn't include that extra piece of information . . . yes this does exist. I was incorrect when I initially went to build the book, but I deleted the old file link and added the correct one. When I go to compile I get the above-mentioned error.
Also looked at the space issue. The first book I tried actually had a comma in the filename . . . completely allowed from a filesystem perspective, but I thought it might be causing a problem for Logos. I renamed the file such that it's entire path had no spaces and received the same error.
Thanks for trying. ;-)
Steven - Which version of Logos are you using? Did you restore from a backup copy, or did you download from scratch?
Mac | iOS | L5 Gold | Win Logs | Mac Logs
Downloaded from scratch and updated (at least I think I got it updated all the way). In any case, I'm running 4.5a SR-1 (4.51.0.2057).

Error looks familiar => Logos 4.5b Beta 5 Personal Book Build has 2 errors
May want to edit forum title to add BUG: prefix; wiki Using the Forums has => Editing or deleting posts

Thanks for the extra confirmation. Didn't use the BUG subject initially since I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong. Based upon your similar post, it seems reasonable to call it a bug.

As per the referenced thread, I've created a case for this issue using KS4J's logs.
Diagnostic Logging
Steven, Development would like to see your diagnostic logs (including the PBB log, if you could post the file itself, that would be helpful) since you are running a different build than KS4J's where he encountered the issue. Also, it would be helpful to have a copy of the document you are trying to compile.
If you prefer not to post your document in the forum, please feel free to send it to Logos4Feedback@logos.com, just make sure to include a link back to this thread in the email.
Here are the logs you requested as well as the "book" in question.
Sorry for the slow response.
Let me know if you need anything else.
