BUG: The Strange Case of the Disappearing ESV Interlinear
Not sure why, but today my ESV Interlinear keeps disappearing (see below):
Now for the strangest part...If I toggle the Interlinear button off/on, an interlinear appears...but for a separate (NIV) study I'm doing of Nehemiah (see below). You can see I've given the word "Children" focus in Mark 7:27 in this example. Clicking around will make the Interlinear go blank again.

Hi Ward, can you try turn off some/many of the visual filters/ highlights you have showing and see if that makes s difference? You can do that by clicking the Visual filters button to the right of the reference bar. From there you can select and deselect your highlights and visual markups. Believe it or not but that many highlights and visual markups requires a good amount of RAM, and it could be your RAM is just being over taxed trying to display so many highlights at once.

Sorry for the delay in response--had to slay other dragons. I did what you suggested above, completely turning off all VF's, but I still see very odd behavior. I began my NIV [Pic 1] study in the OT today, but after my reading plan jumped me to the NT (where the "Display" Interlinear appeared, along with the "lower interlinear") [Pic 2], when I returned to the OT, my "lower interlinear" was again blank--and the "display interlinear" was gone [Pic 3]:
Perhaps this version of the NIV isn't fully "interlinearized" -- but in any case, there seems to be a bug in Logos because it doesn't render the screen the same way if I go from OT to NT and then back.

The NIV84 does not have OT interlinear yet.
You did not show a screenshot of what your OT looked like before jumping to the NT. I see nothing inconsistent with the difference between your Pic 2 and Pic 3. The difference is fully accounted for by the fact that there's no interlinear to display in the OT. In the Display version (in-line) those lines just disappear and it shows only the Bible text. In the interlinear panel, it's just blank because there's no data to show. It would be more disruptive to create and destroy the interlinear panel down below when switching back and forth between OT and NT. But the display is drawn independently each time you jump to a new place in Scripture, so it's simply cleaner to display it without any interspersed interlinear lines if there's no data to show there.
Am I missing something?

Rosie, Oops...I troubleshot the wrong thing (NIV vs ESV). [:|] I'll check out the ESV suggestion by Logos here in a bit.WRT NIV, here is the screen that I saw when I opened the NIV in the OT--note that the "lower interlinear" button is selected, but the lower interlinear does not appear--at least until going to the NT & back:

Did you get a chance to check on the Interlinear panel showing up in the ESV with some or many of the highlights turned off, or in the NT of the NIV?

The Interlinear problems persist, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what triggers it. For example, *sometimes* when I force my "ESV Floating Window" to open to a location--either by loading a layout or by typing a reference in the reference box--the interlinear panel will appear blank (see below)...in times past, the software usually "autoselected" a word on the page to give the Interlinear a reference to display:
When this condition occurs, if I click / dbl click / drag select words on the screen, the interlinear will not re-build:
It does appear that I am running out of physical RAM at this point:
The way to clear the condition reliably is tough to quantify. I just cleared it now by scrolling to the previous screen:
I notice that scrolling back and forth through windows really causes Logos to grab a lot of memory--which it only occasionally releases:
Once the interlinear pane appears, it keeps working...until a verse reference that forces a fresh screen build *randomly?* brings the problem back.
I've tried turning off the Visual Filters as you suggest, and while eventually I could use the interlinear again, that didn't seem to directly correlate to fixing it. I did watch memory use by Logos as I enabled/disabled each Visual Filter. There is a healthy lag between clicking s.t. and seeing a result--but the general trend is that memory use nearly always increases, even when removing things--sure looks like a memory leak of some sort.
Here is the memory use with visual filters the way I want them in this particular "Mark" layout:
And here it is after I've disabled all the visual filters...notice that memory use goes UP:
