Hi,

I received Logos 4 Silver a year and a half ago through my college. I had the activation code, and it worked perfectly on my laptop. However, I have recently gotten a new laptop, this time a Mac (previously I owned a Windows 7 PC). I inserted the logos 4 disc, updated the software, and started it up. However, it continues to ask for my activiation code. I put in the code I was given when I first bought the software, but the window just keeps popping up, so I just select later.

Any help given will be much appreciated, as I need this software for my college classes.

Thanks

Collin

Welcome Big Smile

Wonder about downloading current Logos 4 Mac version, then sign-in with your Logos.com account for installation (download of your Logos resources plus indexing, which may take several hours).

Wiki has Getting Started with Logos => Installation + Indexing

Note: the initial activation code should have associated Scholar's Silver resources with your Logos.com account.

One option for access to many of your resources is login to http://biblia.com (also can verify your Logos.com account and password).

Hi Colin

Just to flesh out some of KS4J's reply

Collin Fitzgerald:

A 'year and a half ' is a long time in Software and the copy on your disk will be very out-dated. Rather than trying to install old software on your new Mac we suggest that you download the latest release. Try this link. and scroll down to option 4.

Once you have installed the engine you can log in and your Silver resources should start to download.

Beware! the download and subsequent indexing can take a long time. It is often best to start the process before turning in for the night. Make sure that the computer is set to remain on during the night by adjusting the 'Energy Saver' options in System Preferences.

Collin,

This happens when somebody installs from the disk. Next time you see the activation window hold down your 'ctrl' key and select 'Later'. This should cause the activation window to go away for good. You can test it by simply restarting Logos 4.
