If the book hasn't been released in Vyrso yet it probably won't show up today just because Amazon is having a promotion of it. It takes a bit of time to get these things out in Vyrso (not like doing a full Logos edition book, but still not immediate; not least of which is the communication with the publisher to get the digital file, and then they probably have to run it through some automated process to turn it into a Logos/Vyrso book, and create a SKU for it and put up a product description page on the website for it, etc.). It could probably all theoretically be done in a day or two if there was a real need for speed. But I've yet to see a Kindle promotion be a motivation for quick turnaround on getting a book out in Vyrso. Since Logos gets zero for it while the promotion is on, there's not much incentive to hurry.
On the other hand, if it were out already in Vyrso, I expect Logos would offer the free giveaway deal as well, as they always seem to do.

You are right - an abridge version or I should say a particular section from the larger work

I think that the book in pre pub is a much larger work… the one being described above is a "short" book.
EDIT: Wow, I was quick to the draw on that one. That's what happens when you load 15 pages and don't refresh before you reply.

Also - the book that I mentioned is only available for the Kindle - there does not appear to be a paper copy available.
