After reading many of the posts on this forum, it seems to me that we're often asking the wrong questions when we compare Logos 3 and Logos 4. I know that there are some important features missing, but Logos has promised to add these back in fairly soon. But more often, the missing features are not missing at all. Logos hasn’t removed things you can do, so much as changed them. As a consequence we need to change our habits in order to make best use of the new features. I don't think we should be asking “Why is this feature missing in Logos 4?”, but rather “How best do I accomplish this task in Logos 4?”
I've posted a video on my blog which explains some of the ways I've adapted my working to the new system. Perhaps others might find it helpful.
Very helpful!
Thank you, Mark.
Well done. Keep them coming!
very well done :-) thanks for sharing that (and without even knowing it, you just showed me a great new tool to download -- BB FlashBack)

Mark,
As I said on your blog. Great. Please post on the wiki.logos.com as this will really be helpful to many people.
Well done.
Chris
Well done as are your other videos...thanks very much.
PS: "Send hyperlinks here" is the equiv of "reference target" isn't it?
Maybe someone can chime in....
In any case...very well done and valuable to keep...

Thanks Mark for the great video. I agree with your attitude towards the "new way" of doing things.
It is great to see videos of not just how to use the features, but a more "real life", how do I apply it to my bible study video. More of these kind of videos would be great!
Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Robert. Yes, I should have been clearer about "Send hyperlinks here". My point was more specific to the reverse interlinears. Logos 4 doesn't note what line you double click on, so doesn't bring up Greek resources (regardless of the Send hyperlinks setting).
Perhaps it's worth adding that these vidoes are relatively easy to create. I used the freeware application BB Flashback, which (along with CamStudio) is the only free software I'm aware of that allows screencasts of unlimited length. If you don't have your own webspace you could upload the finished files to YouTube, though the quality will suffer a little if you do. Perhaps others could create some, or at least make some suggestions about what sort of videos would be useful to supplement Logos' own.
i plan on making some videos to post on my ministry website... starting with a video review of L4 (primarily highlighting some of the new stuff that i really enjoy)... and then maybe another video showing how i setup my desktop for study, etc.
