Does anyone know timelines when Logos expects to (or hopes to) complete the following projects:

Works of Jonathan Edwards ($900) http://www.logos.com/product/15471/the-works-of-jonathan-edwards

Works of Dietrich Bonhoeffer ($400) http://www.logos.com/product/17915/dietrich-bonhoeffer-works

If nobody knows, would someone form Logos kindly answer.

For budgeting purposes I am only looking for ETA by quarter (2nd Quarter 2011, 4th Quarter 2011, etc). Both sets are much more expensive than any other pre-pups I have committed to purchase, so being able to anticipate the financial sting is helpful; additionally, knowing one or both will definately NOT arrive soon would free up $$ now for other immediate Logos purchases.

Sorry Randal, but you are unlikely to get the answer you seek. When Logos has a better idea of a ship date, they will post in on the product page. You can also visit your "orders" page in your account. Anything that has been given a shipping time frame will be listed as such. These items could be MANY months away. I am fairly certain you can count on the fact that neither will ship in 2nd or 4th quarter 2011. Wink

Looking at Logos pre-publication ship dates => http://www.logos.com/products/search?Status=Pre-Pub&start=0&sort=shipdate&pageSize=45 noticed one item estimated for Aug 2012 and another one for Q4 2012 along with a number of resources shipping in the next month.

Thankful for some longer range estimates now appearing for pre-publications. Geeked

I am not seeing anything related to your statment "noticed one item estimated for Aug 2012 and another one for Q4 2012" for the two pre-pubs I've mentioned.

The point is, there's no clue for items tHat are "UInder Development", which is the case for both of the items I reference. For items a user is committed to buying the Account/Orders page is far better than browsing the Pre-Pub listings.

YesFor some people, size page/post count does matter

Respectfully, I dont understand why some feel the need to pile on others. Randal asked about the ship date of some resources. I tried to be helpful by telling him in essence, "don't expect an answer" since Logos does not typically give out general release dates, but typically waits until the moment is nigh.

The point KS4J was trying to make is that, despite my comments, Logos has indeed begun to give some advanced warning. The fact that Logos gave warning for a product shipping in August (3+ months out), and another in Q4 does seem rare. I still stick by my answer… I don't think Randal is going to get any response other than "we'll let you know when it gets closer."

I don't know why any of you would feel the need to bash someone trying to be helpful and add to the conversation. Sad

Concur plus Thankful for Logos expanding estimated shipping dates, which is much appreciated.

+1 Yes plus personally wish Open Pre-Pub Orders had a subtotal for items with a Ship Date status.

For purchasing Logos resources, the best prices are Community Pricing, then pre-publication pricing.  Most sale prices are more than pre-publication prices.

I appreciate all those who spend their time answering questions on the forums. I go for long periods w/out being on here because of school, but every time I come back, I see people who are still sharing their time and expertize. Thanks for helping us learn this program.

And I didn't want to start anything that would prompt someone to "bash the helpful". I appreciate everyone's feedback and comments.

I ask myself why I think so much about maximizing my Logos spending, which is what prompted this thread to begin with. I already have more Logos material at my disposal than was in the ancient library at Alexandria, probably by a multiplier of over 100X. Paul, after all, instructs us to be anxious for nothing. Seems I just last week read a lengthy sermon in volume 2 of the recently released Works of David Clarkson concerning this very subject, anxiousness, or, to use Clarkson's verbage, "excessive carefulness". Shows you how much I learn from what I read.
