IN Logos 3, I had sermon addin. Has that been dropped? IS the thinking now that the notes feature is sufficient?
Check the missing features page for the schedule of the items. http://www.logos.com/4/missingfeatures

Thank you!
In the meantime, L4 will read your sermon file. In the command bar type "scan" and the path where your sermon file is located. it will then become a part of your library in L4.
I notice that according to http://www.logos.com/4/missingfeatures that Sermon-Addin has slipped from being a Q2 2010 deliverable to now being a Q3 2010 deliverable. I assume worst case that this will be a September release.
In my opinion this schedule slip is very disappointing. I personally think that support for Sermons within the context of the Logos software stack should have been made a higher priority with the development team.

I'm guessing that the reason they didn't put a higher priority on this is that Logos 3 still works for creating sermons, and Logos 4 can import them from Logos 3, so there is a temporary workaround until the feature is ported over to L4. I'm sure you're still disappointed. We're all hoping they will beat their estimates for when some of the remaining features will be done.

I've also created an Export filter for Openoffice.org which will create "ready to compile" (By L3) sermon file's. libronixtools.sf.net is the web address.
Once you save the file using the filter, you can compile it in L3 and then use L4's "Scan" command to locate and update the compiled sermon file to at least read and search them in L4.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.
Maybe Q1 2011 ???????

I really wish they would hurry up with the Sermon Addin. I've continued to use L3 for the purpose of filing sermons and illustrations. I've gotten them to appear in L4; however, the newer files aren't there. What step am I missing?

Thomas Black:You still need to import them into L4 by using the command box with the command: scan <path to compiled sermon file>
I have never had to do this. When I added items via sermon addin, they just appeared in L4.
Thomas,
Forgive my ignorance, but does the scan command recognize the compiled sermon as new each time that file changes? For example, after I've added Sunday's sermon and compiled the sermons, will the scan command pick that change up. The reason I'm asking is that I've run the scan command on my entire C drive to no avail.
Danny
Scratch my last post! I tried the scan command using the specific path instead of simply "Scan C:" and it worked! You've made my day/week/month! Now I can be a bit more patient as I await the addin for L4!
Many thanks!
