Personal Books Table of Content
Hi,
I am trying to create a personal book for my illustrations. I want my table of content to be under the alphabet, topic and sub topic. I thought if in my word document, I had the alphabet as "Heading 1:, topic as "Heading 2" and sub topic as "Heading 3", when I compile my personal book in logos, the TOC will have all three levels, "Alphabet, topic and sub topic". However, that is not the case. Does anyone have an idea how I can get my TOC to look the way I want so that I can easily pull out illustrations? Appreciate it if you could let me know.

What you describe should work. However, for at least some of us, it seems as if the heading has to be it's own line. If your headings are on lines that are headings, we'll need a bit of the actual document to identify the problem.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

With regard to headers, you have to make sure you have set the whole line to the header you desire, not just all the characters on the line! What I mean is, you should click your mouse in the left margin so that the entire line, characters and hidden characters (line feeds etc.) are then turned into the header. If you highlight the line and click a header, it likely won't work.
You can actually see if you have done it in Word correctly. With your PB document open, hit Ctrl-F. Then click the icon furthest to the left (see picture). As you can see in my picture, the table of contents will appear, you can see if it looks correct before you build it in Logos. Hope this helps!

thanks. I tried a few things. The strange thing is when I repeat the
procedure above in Mac, it works. However, When I tried to compile them
into PBB, some of the files caused my system to crash. I have attached
one of those files. It's my personal illustration file under C. Any idea
why it causes Logos to crash? The rest of the illustration files are

I can duplicate the crash on Windows 7 latest build of L4. Attached logs. PBB log shows fatal error. Haven't examined it beyond that yet.

This is the part of the file that causes the crash. Delete the image ref and it will compile.

I have reported the crash due to an invalid image ref to Development.

thanks. managed to track down all those pics, frames and embedded stuff. They compile now.

The crash due to an invalid image reference will be fixed in 5.1 Beta 1 for beta testers, and in general when 5.1 ships to the stable channel.
