Is it just me or is the default font in Logos 5 a good bit larger (and less clear/crisp) than the default Logos 4 font? I've tried playing around with the default Logos 5 font such as putting the default text size down to 90%. It helps a little but it just doesn't appear to be as crisp as the rest of the text in Logos 5, such as in the menus, notes, settings, etc. Thoughts? Anyone else having this issue or is it just me? It is a new font and it does seem a bit larger to me too.

I think what you call less "crisp" has to do with font hinting. On my screen, it seemed better after restarting my system. That could have been my imagination, or it could have been that restarting cleaned out the WPF font cache. I don't know.

I think you'll find it nicer once, you get used to it.

You can also reset the font to "Default (Logos 4)" if you want.

There were some issues one beta tester had with Greek text at 90% being pretty fuzzy. I'm not sure that was resolved.

I tried but could not see much of a difference between the two fonts except for some scaling issues (needing to reduce the size of one font over the other to get the same amount on the screen). I think I'll stay with the new font for now.

Well, I've done some playing around this morning and it appears that my issues arise from the resolution of my laptop (1600x900). As soon as I plugged in my monitor at work (1920x1200) and put Logos 5 on that screen the font looks FANTASTIC!

Needless to say, having them open on both monitors, the one on my laptop screen looks horrible by comparison. I guess there's not a whole lot I can do about that, considering there's no way to increase the resolution on my laptop.

Looks like I'll just be defaulting to the Logos 4 font for now, unless something changes Smile

When the new font came out I was not sure about it and switched back to the one I had set. Then I switched back to the new default and decided I liked it best.

Maybe it's my tired old eyes, but I like the new font better.

I am quite fond of the new default font.  I very much prefer it over the L4 default.  Just my $0.02

Same here, I'm very pleased with it.

I'm not a fan of the new Default font personally - quite inelegant, square and not easy on my eye. But then as a designer I'm uber fussy about fonts, and I'm not a fan of this one.

The new UI sans-serif font is very nice and I'm happy to spend long hours looking at it.

I've stuck with my default font of Adobe Garamond Pro, not least of all because it's very close to the printed NIV I have.

The Garamond family is quite nice I agree!

Anyone know what the default Logos 4 font is called?  I know it can be accessed under "Default (Logos 4)" in program settings, but the Information, Passage Guide, and Exegetical Guide fonts remain in the Logos 5 default format.  I would prefer to change all fonts to the previous Logos 4 fonts if possible.

Don't remember that one; however, I can help with the next question

Under Tools/Program Settings, click on Default Font and select Default (Logos 4)
