BUG Logos 5: Louw-Nida missing in lower window of interlinear RV60

If you right click the far left column you should see an additional row called "sense". I believe that replaced the row that previously showed the LN number.

They should still be an option if you right click the labels on the left.

LN is not an option and I don't think it was during the Beta either

To the best of my knowledge it is, and it was (as long as you have the Louw-Nida resource.) Could you post a screenshot of the context menu when you right click on the reverse interlinear ribbon labels?

Here's the screen shot
It is the same way in the ESV. I did not check any of the other versions.

Louw-Nida is a lexicon for the Greek of the New Testament, right? I can reproduce your screenshot in the OT, but it should be an option in the NT.

Thanks for taking the time to investigate and help out. I really appreciate it.

Thanks for the clarification. But I think that was an unfortunate decision, since although the "sense" option is good, Louw-Nida should not have been eliminated (particularly for OT passages). A significant wealth of information is burried by eliminating it from the regular interlinear option.

Here you can see that the L-N option was selected in the interlinear but does not show. Although the interlinear for the RV60 (the most widely used Bible in the Spanish language) was encoded with the LN numbers, it was not encoded in the OT with Strong's. Logos 4 had access to L-N numbers as an option, and for the Old Testament reading of the RV60 that was quite useful to people who could not read Hebrew. Logos 5 has eliminated that option from the interlinear rendering which makes the OT interlinear functionality significantly degraded.
L-N is not redundant to Strong's and this should be implemented back in Logos 5 as was in Logos 4.

So my question should be if the OT Strong numbers will be reintroduced to the interlinear of RV60 as they were in Logos 4.0 -
Hi Fernando

It looks like a resource-specific issue - I see Strong Numbers in ESV (I don't have RV60)
Do you get Strong Numbers in ESV (assuming you have it)?

I was trying to remember the view from Logos 4 options in the RV60 interlinear and I made a mistake. L-N was never an option in the OT, it was Strong. The Old Testament Strong's numbers are missing in the interlinear version of Logos 5, while it was present in the Logos 4 version. That is the difference.
So my question should be if the OT Strong numbers will be reintroduced to the interlinear of RV60 as they were in Logos 4.I can confirm that the RVR (1960) does not have Strongs numbers in the Old Testament. Both Strongs and L-N are present in the NT. There is a setting for showing Strongs #s in the main text window, but not in the reverse interlinear pane at the bottom (in the OT only). Also the setting for in the main text window doesn't actually display Strongs #'s in the OT.
Here are a couple of screen shots to illustrate that.
Option for Strongs #s present in main text window:
Option for Strongs #s not present in reverse interlinear pane:
EDIT: clarified a few points above.

Yes, the other interlinears work fine (e.g., ESV). RV60 does not, while it used to under Logos 4.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I've added a note about missing L-N in the RVR60 NT to the previous bug report I filed (about Strong's numbers in OT).

So my question should be if the OT Strong numbers will be reintroduced to the interlinear of RV60 as they were in Logos 4.They are missing by mistake. We will have an updated resource available early next week to correct the problem. Thanks for the report, and sorry for the mistake.

Thank you very much!

Will they also be available in Logos 5 OT versions of ESV, NKJV as well?

The Hebrew Strong's numbers are in all of the OT reverse interlinears. They were missing from the RVR60 by mistake, which will be fixed with a resource update very soon.

I was able to reproduce this behavior using the Spanish UI (it does not happen in the English UI). I will open a case for it. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the report.

This will be fixed in 5.0b Beta 2 for beta testers, and in general when 5.0b ships to the stable channel.
