I really hate to say it, since I really like Logos 5 as far as all the other aspects, but it is about 25% slower than Logos 4 was for me. I never had a big problem with Logos 4 from the beginning, though I know a lot of people complained about the speed. At the end, Logos 4 was positively snappy on my system. It seems that they changed something that made everybody else's faster and mine slower. Strange. What makes other's faster makes mine slower.

Another thing is it keeps crashing when I try to rearrange the prioritization list in my library. It crashes almost every time now.

Have you defragmented your hard drive since upgrading?

I've noticed that L5 is a little bit slower on startup (for me), and a little bit faster within the program itself. For myself, the startup lag was expected due to older hardware.

Out of curiosity, did upgrading make you come close to filling up your hard drive?

And the reoccurring crashing makes it sound like something is wrong with the program. It wouldn't surprise me if that issue is also causing the sluggishness. If you submit your logs and get some help, or reinstall, then it wouldn't surprise me if you notice a turnaround in performance.

Hey, I have decided to do a clean install. It might take some time, but hopefully all the bugs will be worked out. Thanks for y'all's suggestions though. Smile
