I would like to add a specific collection (of timelines) to the shortcut bar. Is there a way to do this?
charlene,
it doesn't appear that there is a way to do that.
Bummer! Thanks for confirming this, Bob.
Logos, would you please consider adding the ability to add a collection to the shortcut bar? At this point, to just access the Timelines, I have to click on Library, then type in Timelines, then click on the specific timeline. It would be great if we could add these to the shortcut bar.
Thanks!

You can't add collections to the shortcut bar but you can add individual timelines (or any resource) to the shortcut bar.
thanks, Russ, but this is knew. I was just hoping that there was a quicker way to access the timelines. For example, I am studying Isaiah. At times I would like to look at the timeline on the Kings, as well as the timeline on the Prophets. But in order to access either, I have to go to Library, and then type in Timelines and then choose which timeline. At this point I can add both of those as separate items to the shortcut bar, but I hate to have two timelines taking up valuable space. I guess I wish I had the opportunity to just put the entire collection on the shortcut bar, and then just have to click once and then make my choice, thus eliminating one key stroke!
You could create a timelines folder in your favorites and then drag links for each one there. You can then keep your favorites folder open when you find yourself consulting timelines a lot.
You could create a layout with all the timelines. Close all resources and open one timeline. Drag it so that it takes up the entire window. Now open the other timelines and add them as tabs to this panel. Save this as a layout and you can drag this to the shortcut bar.
This may be old news by now but I just figured this out by experimenting. You can't drag and drop a collection from the collection tool onto the shortcut bar to create a shortcut to a specific collection but what does work is the following:
1) open collections to the collection you want to create a shortcut for
2) Drag and drop the collection tab onto your favorites folder to create a link to that collection
3) drag and drop the favorites link onto the shortcut bar and now you have a link to open that specific collection
1) open collections to the collection you want to create a shortcut for 2) Drag and drop the collection tab onto your favorites folder to create a link to that collection 3) drag and drop the favorites link onto the shortcut bar and now you have a link to open that specific collection
Cool!
thanks for sharing for those who might be looking for the answer in the future!

[Y] Thanks, opening link to specific collection does not create "Unnamed Collection"
Keep Smiling [:)]
I am unable to replicate this on my computer. Here are the steps I am following:
No matter what I do, my Vyrso shortcut will open up my "Personal Books" collection. For what its worth, this is true no matter which collection I choose... "Personal Books" opens up.
