I have three different layouts I use at the moment, with each one taking a bit to load on startup. I don't use the home page so Logos opens to where I left off. When I want to work with a different layout though, I need to wait for a layout to load that I'm not going to use, then once its loaded it takes a bit of time for it to close the current layout and then open the one I want to use.   It would be really neat if L4 could be configured to ask the use which layout they want to open on startup - saving the time on loading the incorrect layout, closing it and then opening the desired one. Would anyone else find this handy?

Is there another way to get around this?

Some switches would be good, that way I could set up a number of shortcuts for different layouts.

Why not save your layout, type close all in the command box before you close L4. Then when you open the program it will open with no windows and you can select which layout you want to use?

It worked, which I found surprising considering the description in Help:

. close all - closes all open docked and floating panels

Was this a chance/inspired discovery on your part?

I put a "close all" short cut on my short cut bar and I just hit that when i close if I'm not coming back to my current layout...

it's the easiest fastest way in my opinion...

I just discovered theres another way to do this. On start up by holding ctrl there is an option to open up in a blanc layout.
