No worries.  I enjoy doing it.  It is sad to see some of the works that drop off.  It makes me sad watching the volumes with the "highest recommendation" drop off due to plagiarism, like Köstenberger on John.  Just because they don't make the list doesn't mean they are not still helpful!

I like to update my bookmarks with the full list from the site each year. I found both at https://denverseminary.edu/the-denver-journal/2018/ but clicking on OT and NT does not show me the lists. I am hoping someone can help to get those working. Thanks

That is strange.  They must have pulled it down for some reason.  I assume it will come back, but you could email the journal and let them know.

Keep in mind that I only create the Personal Books, and the comments are those of the authors.  Their comments on the 1994 Brotzman text state that it is a "Good Evangelical introduction for the beginner," and the work is titled "A Practical Introduction." I would assume that Tov is more detailed and scholarly, but I do not know for sure.  The table of contents on Amazon does indeed show more detail, and it is considerably longer..

The new addition for the OT has been released, so I am posting it here.  Please note that the new NT version was released not long ago and posted above.  There have been no changes in the NT version, so I am only posting the OT here:

Changes in OT2019B.0.0

The following works have been removed from the new list:

*Olley, John W.  The Message of Kings:  God Is Present  (BST).  Downers Grove: IVP, 2011.  Excellent, informed exposition with solid theological reflections.  Evangelical.

Eaton, Michael A.  Ecclesiastes:  An Introduction and Commentary  (TOTC).  IVP, 1983.  Evangelical appreciation of a positive interpretation to the book as an apologetic in a world of faithlessness.

The following works have been added to the new list:

Dever, William G.  Beyond the Texts: An Archaeological Portrait of Ancient Israel and Judah. SBL, 2017.  See above under Histories of Israel.

*McKenzie, Steven L.  1 Kings 16 – 2 Kings 16 (IECOT).  W. Kohlhammer, 2019.  Best overall critical, historical, and exegetical commentary on these chapters.

*Heim, Knut M.  Ecclesiastes: An Introduction and Commentary  (TOTC).  IVP, 2019.  Arguing a Hellenistic date, this Evangelical commentary provides solid exegesis to navigate the difficult waters of this book.

Included links for the following works that are now available pre-publication:

Perdue, Leo G., et al.  Families in Ancient Israel.  Westminster John Knox, 1997.  One of the few studies on this subject, a very useful source of reliable information.

Included links for the following works that are now available for download:

Würthwein, Ernst.  The Text of the Old Testament: An Introduction to the Biblia Hebraica.  3rd edition.  Eerdmans, 2014.  Classic discussion of the Hebrew texts and the versions.

Bailey, Wilma Ann, and Christina Bucher.  Lamentations, Song of Songs.  Believers Church Bible Commentary 27.  Herald Press, 2015.  Concerted effort to engage the text with modern personal, ecclesial, and social life.  Insightful and thought-provoking.
