Up until today the layouts worked without problems.

Today when I try to load a layout Logos 5 crashes.

Read through the forums and found one ray of hope, to "Rebuild Index" which I am currently doing.

My concern is that it appears to have happened on all MACs that I have Logos installed on. So far my PC installation is working correctly.

Any insight to correct this problem will be helpful.

thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Garcia

Are you able to enable and upload diagnostic logs as per http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging?

The logs should be uploaded after L5 has crashed and before restarting it

Thanks, Graham

I will so after my Mac completes the rebuilding of the index. Currently at 84%.

Thanks for your help

I started Mac L5 with blank layout and the layout opened without a problem.

I then brought the Home window up again and attempted to load the Layout again, L5 crashed.

I read through the reporting instructions, downloaded the app but am not sure how to attach log files.

Is there a way to always start L5 in blank layout mode?

I'll just use that until Logos corrects the bigger problem.

I just find very odd that up until now it worked fine and then crash on all Macs.

I would advise you to rebuild the layout if it is the only one causing the crash.

Start with the Command key held down.

Use the paper clip icon in your response window.

My MAC has been crashing when trying to open any of my saved layouts for about a month. Hmm, I am seeing a pettern with MAC users and layouts crashing.

Have you tried rebuilding those layouts. If still crashing then logs will be needed to diagnose the issue --> http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging

(read carefully and upload the logs).

Many of the problems with L5 Mac crashing are caused by a "too many open files" error. This particular problem has been fixed in 5.0b RC-2 which should be released to the stable channel soon.

But no one can provide assistance for your problem without log files.

The most convenient way to enable logging is to use the Applescript LogosLogging by KS4J. (Restart of Logos needed after enabling)

Then use Logos Log Scribe to create an archive of the logs on your desktop.

Use the paperclip on the message prep window to attach.
