Copy Bible Verse problem

When I insert a Bible verse into MS Word 2010, the verse numbers, which I have in superscript, paste into Word in 12 pt font while the rest of my passage is in 10 pt font. This is a new occurrence.

Here is my custom style.

%NoFootnotes

%NoCitation

=ForEachVerse

[VerseNum][VerseText]

=Footer

It went away. I went to the National Camp Logos and a fix was found by one of the Logos techs so I do not know what changed.

I meant to say it came back since Camp Logos. Before the "John 3:16" was in 12 pt font while the rest of the verse was in 10 pt. NOW, everything is in 10 pt font but the verse number which I have in superscript. If I go from Normal Style to Verse Style in MS Word (CalibriBody) it is consistently at 11 pt font.

I get different results in Word 2007, where supersrcipt is 12 pt and the rest is 11 pt.

Have you tried imposing a Word Style via %ForEachVerseStyle= ?

I tried that and tried it again, even using different styles, and it still did not work. I even tried adjusting the paste functions in Word's options, but changing them did not work either.

This change in Copy Bible Verses is causing a lot of extra work in preparing my lessons. It changes the font, the font size, and the line spacing. So each time I put a verse in my Word document I have to change all of these. Is there a work- around or some way to avoid this. I surely don't want to wait for the 5.1 revision unless it is in a few days. This problem cuts my productivity in Logos 5 by half. Please fix!!!!!!!!!!!

You will have to wait until 5.1 is released. I found the the issue is fixed for Word 2007 (should apply to Word 2010, etc).

It still works in Word 2007 - superscript is same size as text. What do you observe?

It is a little different than my previous problem. When I insert a Bible verse into MS Word 2010, the verse reference, and numbers (which I have in superscript), paste into Word in 10 pt font while the text is in 12 pt font. This is using the Ctl+Alt+B command and then Alt+P.

If I select the Copy & Paste button in the CBV, the same problem occurs. If I select Copy in CBV, then go into Word and Paste it myself, it is formatted correctly.

Try turning on "CharFormating" in your style and see if that works for you. I use Word 2010 also and this works on my system.

With %CharFormatting the verse number is font size 11 with the verse portion in font size 12. With %NoCharFormatting both are size 11.

I think there has to be differences in the way Word 2010 applies the formatting on the clipboard but is 10 superscript + 12 verse text so bad?

Thanks for responding. I use CBV for pasting text into my sermons. Even though the text is correct, I like having my sermon all the same font size. I could just use CBV, then once my sermon is done, highlight all the text and make it the same font size. It is doable, but I thought Logos would have an easy fix for this bug, saving me one more step.

You say the CBV font/style matches your document except for the size of superscript? Have you checked that your Word 2010 option for Copy and Paste from other programs is to match destination formatting (default in Word 2007 is to match source formatting)?

The only options I have available under "pasting from other programs" is "keep source formatting", "merge formatting", and "text only." I tried all three options with the same results as mentioned above.

I think you should create a Bug: thread referencing this thread, but stating clearly what is happening with respect to your source formatting and illustrate with screenshots.
