Yes for some parts of the Bible. It's a very important translation done by competent scholars, Caird comes to mind.
To simplify, say: Ex, Ps, Sirach, 1 Mc, much of 2 Cor 1-9, much of Gal, parts of Eph, Phil, 1 Thess.
Besides those books I'm starting to use it for all of the OT except Isaiah, Proverbs, Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings, Ezekiel and Daniel.
I still prefer the NEB.

rari: I still prefer the NEB.
My main Bible is the NRSV, and then the NJB, the REB is probably next inline for my respect of and it's usefulness. I too really like the NEB, but I tend to be a wee bit more conservative in my handling of the Biblical texts and while I enjoy the NEB and have it on preorder, I do prefer the REB. In my opinion the REB not only updates language but corrects some questionable changes that the NEB had introduced, I find the REB poetic, flowing and a wonderful translation for reading.

That is based on the idea that one uses only Logos and no paper books or other software… I use the REB in Accordance frequently… I look forward to the day I can use it in Logos too...
