Every time I begin scrolling/reading in the Word Biblical Commentary in Mark 3:13-16, Logos 5 Freezes up and forces me to restart.  What's up with that?  Is this a known bug or I'm I all alone here.  Someone please help....

Can't reproduce it on Win 7 in 5.0b RC-1. Are you using Mac or Win, and which version of the OS, which version of Logos (you can find it in the About box -- help menu (the ? icon in upper right) > About Logos Bible Software). Unless you're using the beta you probably don't have 5.0b yet. So either it's a bug that has already been fixed, or there are other conditions in your particular set up that are different from mine. What did you have open at the time? Can you reproduce it from a blank layout and just open that WBC Mark volume to Mark 3:13 and start paging up/down?

Hi Samuel - and thanks for the information.

Is there also a Logos.log file in the same folder as the other logs? If so, could you post it as well? If not, could you enable diagnostic logging (as per http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging) and upload it after the freeze?

I'm afraid I can't work out what is wrong from the information posted.

But it is possible that there is something wrong with your copy of the resource. You can "refresh it" (remove it from your hard drive and download another copy from Logos' servers) by "hiding" it and "restoring" it. That might be worth a try - details are at http://wiki.logos.com/Hiding_Books

I went to my resource folder, deleted this particular volume, then reinstalled from the internet....same problem.  Freezes upon scroll in Mark 3:(

Hello Samuel,

I apologize for the difficulty you're experiencing. Your logs are not as informative as I might hope, but the fact that this occurs only in a specific book at a specific location, makes me wonder if there is a specific visual filter applied that may have been corrupted somehow.

You'll find the visual filters button at the top of the resource. If you toggle all filters off, are you able to scroll through the section?

It appears that you're using the middle-click autoscroll to scroll in this particular instance? It doesn't crash for me if I just press Page Down or click in the scrollbar; can you use that as a workaround?

I can.  However, now it appears to have been "healed."  It is no longer freezing even on auto scroll.  I didn't do anything, and don't see where any updates were downloaded.  Maybe there was just a demon in that section of my library...

The crash only occurs when some data from the resource is loaded for the first time, and if you are using autoscroll at the time. If you scrolled past that section normally (or even loaded the data from some other resource), it won't crash.

We will be fixing this crash in 5.0b.
