How do you do a Bible search for every instance of "And" when it begins a sentence?
elnwood: How do you do a Bible search for every instance of "And" when it begins a sentence?
Assuming the only time "and" starts with a capital "A" is at the start of a sentence then you could search for "And" and set "Match Case" in the search options.
(Details at http://wiki.logos.com/Detailed_Search_Help#Matching_Case_or_All_Word_Forms)
I don't know if its possible or not. My guess is that it would crash the app. Out of curiosity... Why the search?
EDIT: Good thought Graham.

That did it. Thanks, Graham!
alabama24, one of my pet peeves of English Bible translations is when they translate the waw consecutive (or kai in Greek) at the beginning of sentences as "and." In my opinion, it's bad English style, even if it's not strictly prohibited by English grammar.
So, I wanted to do a check to see which English Bible translations are the worst offenders.

Let us know what you find.
(My guess: A newer translation that strives to balance "word for word" with "readability.")
Here are the results:
