Can you please attach a complete log file.
Thanks.Scott
Scott Alexander: Todd, Can you please attach a complete log file. Thanks.Scott
Sure.
3666.Copy-of-Logos4.zip
Had to compress it since it was large...still syncing, btw. Thinking about shutting down Logos.
Could it be related to a corrupted index?

Installed without incident. Since I installed B2, am reindexing now to ensure no problems. Reindex now works.
Happy camper...

Bradley Grainger:Added Copy Bible Verses global hotkey (in panel menu)
Thank you for the hotkey.
I want the global CBV hotkey to Copy and Paste. Now it's two steps: first press hotkey and then Alt+P.
There could be a selection in the panel menu to toogle between "Copy and Paste" or just "Copy" the selected passage when pressing hotkey.
L4 not working after Beta 3 update (i had Beta2 before update). i've got more info in this thread.

Any control with a blue dotted underline where you can pick a resource (e.g., "Entire Library" in Basic Search panel) is a "resource picker".

What's changed?
The image in list view isn't a tab stop, the "View" button is, etc.
Well once again, it rearranged all the stuff in my ribbon. Choose preferred Bible is back to the #1 slot.

Thank you!
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.
Richard DeRuiter: Bradley Grainger:Added Bible Text Only visual filter This seems to set the view to one verse per line, and doesn't eliminate verse numbers. It does get rid of section headings. Not what I expected.

It's pretty much the same as the LDLS3 "Bible Text Only" view, as far as I can tell.
Richard DeRuiter: Bradley Grainger:Added Copy Bible Verses global hotkey (in panel menu) I looked for this but didn't find it, until I opened the CBV and looked in its panel menu. Then I saw where it can be changed. Maybe that was obvious to everyone but me. Bradley Grainger:Added export to Search Analysis datasheet Where is this added? I see the DataSheet option in the search results display. But I don't see anything added since B2. Please clarify.

Try looking in the Panel Menu for this one...
Richard DeRuiter: Bradley Grainger:Added preference to set resource panel background color This is pretty cool, though only a few colors may not be enough to satisfy some. I also notice that search panels and other non-resource displays still use the default "White" background. Is that by design? I'm fine with that, just curious. (I do like the subtlety of 'Paper' just right for me).

That's on our list; we've only implemented the setting for resource panels right now.
Richard DeRuiter: Bradley Grainger:Added “reindex now” command (NOTE: this currently doesn’t stop the indexer if it’s already running) Haven't tried this, but good idea. What should we advise people who have indexing going, who know they will want to reindex when done?

As a temporary workaround, you could terminate the indexer process. This is not recommended in general, though.

It's definitely in a loop. I sorted the log file and the sync entries are repeating the same resource syncs.

It will be added to Program Settings in the future as well.

Look for "Export..." in the panel menu.
Mine ran the sync for a long time, but then settled down. Why the long sync process when there were not changes to user data?
JohnFidel: Mine ran the sync for a long time, but then settled down. Why the long sync process when there were not changes to user data?
I restarted after syncing for over an hour, and now it's doing it again...I guess I'll let it run all night. Actually, Logos is stuck on the Preparing Your Library screen this time, so I have no choice.
I ran the reindex now command... with 2200+ resources, it threatened 24 hours... 2 hours later, it's only threatening another 2hr 49 minutes. If only I could get that kind of time warp on the last 3 hours!

Now Thats more like an export! You can now export as CSV W/ more info!!!!
Hey Bradley, dumb question as to where is the L4.0a Beta 3 link?
Oh can I go directly to Beta 3?

Bill,
I have missed the conversation... what is:
1) the benefit to reindexing your library?
2) what are the indicators that one needs to reindex their library?
Thanks,
Ross

Hi Ross,
Check 4.0a b2 posts re possible corruption of index. It was a known bug, & several were counseling that we skip 4.0a b2.
At the point that they posted, I had already installed b2.
To ensure my index is not corrupted, I ELECTED (sans anyone's counsel, only for my peace of mind) to reindex.
Possible indicators are bogus search results. (Most if not all of my bogus results were all cockpit error.)
Many thanks Bill! I am just now jumping in on the Beta and found the download very easy.
Also... I immediately noticed an increase in speed in PG and other searches.
I continue to be impressed and looking forward to full Mac version.
Todd White:Look for "Export..." in the panel menu.
Aha!
Cool! Very cool!
I notice that the exported data is not the same as what I see on the screen. All potential columns are included, regardless of what is selected. I wonder how much consternation that is going to cause.
I would love to see this added to the other search results schemes as well, especially to verses, although if we can get a printable, copiable, or exportable VerseList, that should suffice.
