I still have not gotten a firm hold on syntax searching.  I need someone to help me find passages where a imperative verb is modified by subsequent participles like Ephesians 5:18-21.  Thanks in advance.

In its simplest form the structure suggested by Eph 5.18-21 is

Anything allows zero or more terms before the Adverbial function.  Note the dotted line to the Word1, meaning "skip intervening levels", which could be other Clauses.

I see three things you missed

First, you need to limit the search to a clause

Second, you need to add "anything" between the two clause functions

Third, you need to select the word component and check "matching skips levels" to the right of the screen

If using cascadia build your search exactly the way the example Dave provided is layed out and you will receive results.
