Just tried to simply quit Logos 5 for Mac.
Will have to force quit it as I have done so many times.
This is the only program on my computer that has such trouble with a simple quit.
Attached is a "sample" from Logos Logging Utility

Did Logos display a Synchronizing dialog? How long did you wait prior to forcing quit?
Enable-and-Submit-Log-Files | Install
It had a spinning wheel.
At least 10 minutes.
Not being an expert at reading logs, can't offer expert help. There were multiple errors, but this seems to be key.
Was there any problem with your internet connection?
Did not think so, but we live in the country and may not be as reliable as big city internet.
Would Logos have a problem connecting to the internet when I open the MacBook?
If so, would it be better to quit Logos before I close the MacBook?
Is there a good way to test if Logos is connected to the internet?
I know Safari has a delay, but then connects.

You would know when trying to start Logos and you would see a yellow triangle over the Sync arrows if it was running but had no internet.

Hung upon quitting agin.
This morning opened the MacBook and tried to quit Logos while still in full screen view from last night.
The wheel spun for 15 minutes before I took the attached "sample" and force quit Logos.
Logos seemed to be connected to the internet last night and worked well.
Will exit full screen view or go to the home page first before quitting Logos next time.
Other programs did not have a problem connecting to the internet.
I have sent many reports to Apple after Logos needed a force quit.
Thanks so much for your help!
Sorry failed to attach sample last post.

I have had this problem with apparently endless synchronising making Logos hang without closing.
My work-around is to remember to synchronise before closing the app. This works. I have had no hangs since following this procedure.

Does this happen when you open Logos offline? Can you navigate to your applications window, single-click the Logos 5 app file, hold the Command key and tap the O key. Keep it held down until you get to the sign in window. Once there choose to work offline and replicate the behavior.
I just turned wiFi off and used the box that gives the option to run Logos offline.
With the wiFi still off I tried to quickly replicate the behavior, but it gave a very fast clean quit.
Will try it again, running Logos longer with the WiFi tuned after I start Logos.
Seems that working offline prevents the problem
and leads to a consistent clean close of Logos.
So, should I just once every three or four times open Logos online?
Can you try replicating the behavior on a different internet source (i.e. go to Starbucks or somewhere else with an internet source, and start Logos and stop it to see if the hang occurs again).
I can try to do that, but I live in the country and
as of Sunday I am not getting around very well.
It may be some time before I have an opportunity to try a different internet source.

In that case, are connecting to the internet over WiFi, and if so can you connect the computer directly into the modem? If so, please do that and see if the behavior persists.
I could try that later tonight or tomorrow.
Hi David,
I spoke with development about your case and it looks like your internet connection is the hurdle here. We have a very long timeout on information and if you've made a number of changes that are syncable that have not been synced then they will try to do this at the very end. If you follow Alan's advice then this shouldn't happen for you. Sync before you quit Logos, and don't quit it until the sync is finished.
