Will not begin download on my Mac, keeps saying "dowloading resources", but never does. Loaded on Ipad no problem. What's up?

Hello Colton,

What is the total download size, and how long has it been at 0%? Sometimes we see a long delay between 0% and 1% when working on a very large download - especially over wifi.

0% download can also occur if we're being blocked by a proxy on the network, which is common on school campuses and office networks. Proxy settings can be manually entered when opening Logos by holding the CMD key while it attempts to open, then clicking the "Proxy" button.

Just to add a little to what Mike wrote… The iPad app views resources from the "cloud." This is not true of the desktop app. In L4/L5, all resources are downloaded (and then indexed) before they can be fully used. This makes the desktop app much more powerful… but also means you have to wait a bit.

Did you purchase a base package? If so, which one?

Yes, it is a base package. Silver. I have attempted to let it load overnight, still with no movement. I decided to 'quit' the first download and try it again, now I have no logos icon in my menu bar like the first time. Ive downloaded, drug it into applications, then when I open it it just spins & says "downloading resources"

I have tried it at 3 different locations, all wifi but one overnight at home. I have no icon in my menu bar showing progress. When it failed to load overnight, I 'quit' the download, loaded it again, drug it to apps and opened it. Now it just spins, saying 'downloading resources'.

Where did you get the engine from? I think I might try downloading the engine again: http://wiki.logos.com/Getting_Started_with_Logos#Installation_.2b_Indexing

Hi Colton,

It may not be a bad idea to call support for more direct assistance with this issue.
