very confusing
I presume he's wondering how there can be only 30 Bibles and 3 Biblical Studies resources when there are 2204 NT and 1828 OT ones, Aren't all NT and OT resources either Bibles or Biblical Studies?
My take: It seems the whole category "Genre" is mis-tagged:
.
All the other "theology" and "biblical studies" stuff is tagged as such under Topic instead of Genre, and 163 bibles are found under Resource Type. Thus everything under Genre should be re-distributed to approprite taggings and then deleted from the website to save space and confusion.
I am wondering if you could please explain a little more on your confusion. I say this because I am not confused, and I wish to give you a hand with your confusion
I am perplexed at what the numbers by the Genre mean. Surely, there are more than 3 books related to the Biblical Studies or 10 Theology books, etc. The real killer is "Reference (1)" [:'(] Because it is such a radical number, I stop and wonder, if there is a filter applied, such as "Author: so and so" or Publisher: such and such."
At the same time, when one looks at 2204 titles related to New Testament, it is such a large number, that is practically useless, and it includes titles, such as Nelson's Complete Book of Bible Maps and Charts Revised that includes both New Testament and Old Testament maps.
This is similar to adding a category Christian to (almost) every book in Logos catalog: though technically correct, it is practically pointless.
I hope this is a work in progress and that Logos is developing a truly useful website searching system.
I too am confused with the Logos' website many times... those categories kills me all the time.
One needs a snapshot of the whole page to answer your question as the numbers associated in the portion you show the clip of varies depending upon the filter applied at the top of the page.
vs.
Without a filter note the count of books on the New Testament:
Click on the New Testament making it a filter - count is identical but the left side reflects only the NT:
You can continue drilling down several levels. For example, clicking on Resource Type --> Collected Essays
M.J., of course I understand that. How I arrived at my "confused state" was type "logos.com" in the browser and click on products tab.
So this should be the whole catalog, without any filters applied. Logos is using "Theology" as both the Genre and Topic, ditto with Biblical Studies. This is confusing.

Ah, I'd mentally adjusted to that Logos quirk so I missed your point - it was more your comment about the number under NT making it unhelpful that I responded to. Sorry.
It seems they must have been messing with the Genre tag lately, because it used to be applied to more books, I could have sworn. Now it appears that most of the books in their catalogue have no Genre tag at all.
Or maybe I'm thinking of Vyrso, which has a more fully fleshed-out Genre tag system:
