Hello; I am looking for assistance on a search term within Logos 5 to determine how many died in a single instance due to the wrath of God, and possibly all scriptures in which there were multiple deaths. I have thought about this and could not find a way to do it in Logos. I appreciate any assistance.

Thank you.

How about searching in concordances for God kill (another term might come up with better results)

I found this in Collins Thesaurus of the Bible

♦ D3c God killed his people
Fire from the Lord consumed the 250 men (Num. 16:35); the Lord destroyed the followers of Baal-peor (Deut. 4:3); the Lord struck Benjamin before Israel (Judg. 20:35); God struck down men of Beth-shemesh (1 Sam. 6:19); God killed the strongest of them (Ps. 78:31); he has killed all that were pleasing to the eye (Lam. 2:4); you have slain and not spared (Lam. 3:43); has Israel been slain as their slayers were slain? (Isa. 27:7); when he killed them, they sought him (Ps. 78:34); he destroyed those who did not believe (Jude 5); I have hewn them by the prophets, slain them with my words (Hos. 6:5); I slew your young men with the sword and carried away your horses (Amos 4:10); he killed them in the wilderness (Num. 14:16); they went out and struck down those in the city (Ezek. 9:7); you have slain them in your anger (Lam. 2:21).

One approach is to use the Clause Search in the OT for person:God  verb:to die; (pt.) dying  (perhaps subject:God).

The number of dead/killed is not usually quantitative e.g. "they died"  "put him to death"  "righteous to death", so you have to do some manual filtering.

Thanks Ben and Dave; This is much appreciated. It's an assignment for Wednesday's bible study and I was stuck on how to search for this. Now I can study the reasons. Smile

Thanks fgh; That was the first event that came to mind. I think our pastor knew that would be too easy, so he wants us to study and find events other than the flood. Smile
