A second source of materials might be some of the various Dissertations from Andrews University. I remember Richard M. Davidson wrote and excellent one on typology. I've even seen it cited in recent works (I'm thinking of Jesus: a Theography by Frank Viola and Leonard Sweet its available in Vyrso). It would be great to have some of these books in Logos.

Reimar Vetne:
It's great with all the Andrews U Press books coming to Logos.

Made this request of the Seminary before, but nothing came out of it. Hopefully they will think differently this time.

Reimar Vetne:
searching for a topic or a passage treated in an article takes a lot of manual time.

You can use the online search engine.

The Conditionalist Faith of Our Fathers  by LeRoy Edwin Froom    - seems to be out of print.   There is a DjVu copy on the SDA Archives. http://docs.adventistarchives.org//documents.asp?q=documents.asp&CatID=17

Whether R & H would release it royalty free to reduce price would be nice but doubtful. I would anticipate possibly wider interest in this than just SDAs.

Inspiration by Alden Thompson    Review and Herald (out of print)

The Ellen White Series - George R, Knight   R & H
Myths in Adventism - George R. Knight   R & H

(pretty nearly anything by him!)

Other publishers

(WHO'S AFRAID OF THE OLD TESTAMENT GOD also by Alden Thompson was published orig by a non-SDA publisher so looks like not part of your remit unless Alden now has the rights.)

Recovering an Adventist Approach to The Life & Mission of The Local Church by Russell C. Burrill  pub Hart Books, Fallbrook, California

From Sabbath to Sunday by Samuele Bacchiocchi. I think his estate will hold the rights to it. My copy has c1977 Samuele Bacchiocchi.

The Sabbath in Scripture and History - editor  Kenneth Strand   R&H  pub 1982

Any thoughts against this Lyndon?

I see it as important that we have a selection of well written books covering out distinctive beliefs not only for SDAs but so that non-SDAs can have access to well written source information they can make informed decisions.

If there are differences of opinion within them so much the better - every healthy denomination has that! Even dirty washing does not improve by being locked up in the hope that no one will notice!

I think I suggested this one. If not it was an oversight. have it on my desk in front of me.

Made me smile this morning when I read it. Smile We will have to wait and see what books R & H decides to licence.

They are on my list of SDA products to pursue here at Logos, Reimar. Thank you for requesting them and I'll do my best to get them.

I know that it won't be out in print until GC Session 2015... but it would be nice to be available on Logos at same time or soon after...

David, thanks for the link. This had slipped under my personal radar!

Completely agree with you. If is the same quality as the study bible comments I wold hope that it will be produced digitally anyway to enable it to be fully portable and accessible for members in church so Logos should be one of the digital formats!!

Woops! I think I repeated one of your other suggestions in an earlier post as well. I blame old age and general decrepitude!

Inspiration by Alden Thompson (out of print)

Bible Amplifier Series (also out of print, I believe)

Printed sermon series by SDA Preachers - HMS Richards, CD Brooks, Mark Finley, others?

BTW, I saw the ABC had a sale on the Adventist Commentary stuff for like $25 and I think it included all the EGW Stuff as well. This is on CD-ROM and is how I originally got into LOGOS, so I'm sure it's still compatible.

I haven't seen it mentioned, but I would like Blanco's Clear Word.

Phil Mills:

I haven't seen it mentioned, but I would like Blanco's Clear Word.

But only after he adds the footnotes of where he got all the quotes - as is the book does not meet professional standards.

Edit: on second thought I would prefer that this work had never seen the light of day. [and in what Faith Life group can we discuss this?]

I do NOT want to see the "Clear Word" as a Logos resource and have posted my reasons in the suggested group.
