Evening all,

The ability to prioritise resources on Logos in Windows does not appear to available in the iPad app. Is this correct.

Thanks.

For clarification… are you wanting to know if you can do the act of prioritizing resources on the iPad? Are you wanting to know about the order of resources that pop up when you run a passage guide or word study? Something else?

I was assuming/hoping that the prioritisation I had done in the Windows version would show up in the iPad one. Failing that, I would like to prioritise the resources on the iPad itself if possible. Hope that makes sense.

It isn't possible.

Prioritization would happen from within the desktop app and sync over... My question to you, however, is what functions are you wanting to see prioritization in? In other words, where are you expecting or hoping to see resources prioritized? Some currently work, others do not (last I checked).

I don't think that Word Studies recognize prioritized lexicons. I <think> that passage guides do recognize prioritized resources. Your prioritized bible is recognized, as is your prioritized calendar devotional.

In the passage guide it would be nice for the iPad app to apply the same priorities to the commentaries as the windows version does.

Desktop prioritization does not translate over to the iPad.  I asked this question some time back and someone from Logos verified that it does not work.  It also seems that he said that it was not a priority for them to implement.

Here is the other thread with the response from Logos.

Thanks Joseph. I thought the passage guide did... In fact, I think that it did but it ignored advanced prioritization... But I could be wrong.

Yeah, this is something that I would think would be vitally important, since when one does a search in the passage guide, the list of commentaries is next to impossible to decipher in many instances because of some vague titles and the long list.

I agree.

I use the mobile app daily, but for reading and highlighting. I rarely use the passage guide, and the current status makes it less likely for me to use it more… But the app continues to improve. Hopefully this needed change will come sooner than later.

Yes, I agree this is a real problem.

I do use the iPad PG from time to time and the lack of prioritisation and unhelpful titles makes it difficult to navigate.

What would be really nice if the customisations we can make on the desktop (allowing for references to be presented in discrete collections) were to transfer to the iPad app as well but a good start would be honouring prioritisations.
