I had to get a new office computer. I installed Logos 5 and downloaded my books (10 + GB) overnight. Came back and started Logos, and the Preparing you library box (This may take a while) has been taking 5+ hours. Is that normal? I'm afraid to restart. Thanks for your help.

If he's still indexing, he shouldn't restart. That will causing indexing to begin again from the start when it reboots.
5 hours isn't excessive I don't think. Depends on how many resources you have. But I think it should let you use Logos while it's indexing, if it's not, then I'd call support.

If the 'Preparing you library (This may take a while)' box is showing, indexing probably hasn't even started.

No it wouldn't.

fgh, On what basis do you say this? If the indexing process is killed during first time indexing (by a system shutdown or whatever), it starts over when the computer is restarted. At least that's the way it was last time I did an install from scratch (which, granted, was a couple years ago). Or are you saying he's okay to restart because indexing hasn't started yet?
Actually, it's not indexing as far as I can tell (no % indicator). It simply says Preparing your library (this may take a while...)
Thanks,
Thanks for the help. I decided to restart. When I did, I double-clicked Logos and it opened up. Looks like everything is indexed as well. Maybe it was just stuck in a loop or something. Anyway, it's running like a champ again.
Blessings,

This isn't an isolated incident as other users have done the same.
