I have a note file I created on Logos 5 which is a study of the End Times.  It is not attached to a verse but is an independent Logos note file.  I put this in the mobile favorites folder thinking that I could find it on my Logos program on the tablet and open it but it does not show up.  Can you open notes in the tablet Logos that were created on the desktop?  I would like to continue working on this note file from both the destop and the tablet when I am away.  Is this possible?

Hi Tim

Sorry but this is not possible on Android at the moment (it is on iOS)

Its one of the "feature-parity" issues between the mobile environments at the moment - I believe Logos is working on it.

Tim,

Unfortunately, viewing independent note documents is a feature that is not yet available in the Logos Android apps. Rest assured, we are working hard to get this feature ready. We can't give a timeline of course, but it is definitely in the pipeline. You'd be surprised at the amount of back end architecture required to get this feature working (I certainly was; I personally am working on implementing a lot of that back end functionality right now Wink)

Edit: Beat me to it Graham!

I was interested in this comment.

Are you able to provide some insight on what additional back end work was required to support this capability on Android with it already being in place for iOS? I had just assumed that it was a client-side issue?

Just for interestSmile

Sorry, I could have worded that better. By "back end" I still meant within the Android codebase, but not relating to the user interface (meaning it's not as simple as coding up a list of notes). iOS has a lot of code relating to managing Documents (Note documents, Reading Plan documents, etc) that Android hasn't yet implemented, which is what I'm currently working on.

Thanks Drew

Very useful to give us a better understanding of the work which needs to be done
