Hello Jeff,

I apologize for the difficulty. There is no known bug in the export tool, but we would be glad to look into your specific crash. It would be best if you could send me a Logos Log File to troubleshoot this problem. To do so, please visit this article for Mac. And reply to this thread with your logs.

Thank you for your logs, Jeff. We'll look into this. I have a few followup questions, if you don't mind:

1.) This appears to be occurring as soon as the Print/Export window opens (Not while clicking an export file type). Is this correct?

2.) If this isn't a terribly long Bibliography, can you reply with what books you're exporting citations for?

2A.) Are there any Personal Books in this list?

Mike,

You're correct- the function crashes as soon as the print/export window opens.   It is a very long bibliography- but I have tried this with smaller sections of the bibliography and it still crashes.  Yes, there are two personal books in the Bibliography.

Thanks for looking into it for me.

Thanks Jeff,

I've been pouring over the logs and we seem to be getting an error processing a citation field. I'm concerned this field may be incorrect or missing from a particular resource, but it doesn't show which it might be.

Would you mind retrying your Bibliography without your Personal Books? If we can rule those out, we can begin examining Logos resources from the collection you're exporting, but I'd like to start with the smallest group first.

Just tried removing the personal books and it did the same thing.

Thanks for trying it Jeff. I'm going to get development involved and see what we can find out. We'll be in touch about it soon.

We've identified an issue with the following resources. We plan to have this fixed by 5.2, but they should be avoided in Bibliographies until then.

  • Bible in Basic English               - LLS:1.0.1202
  • Geneva Bible (1599)                - LLS:1.0.1224
  • Weymouth New Testament       - LLS:1.0.1206

Jeff, I've emailed you separately to request a local file from your computer. We'd still like to examine that file to make sure we haven't missed anything. Thank you for reporting this issue.

I receive the same error when I try to export a bibliography including "The Anti-Nicene Fathers, Volume 1" (LLS:6.50.1).

Robert,

I can't seem to reproduce this issue. Which bibliographic style are you using? Would you mind posting some logs (http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging) of the crash here so that we can better diagnose the issue?

Thanks,

Tom

This will be fixed in 5.1a SR-2.
